    Back to the basics: Cutting

Can anyone give me a general run down on the basics of an ideal cutting diet and cardio program? I just want to get some different opinions to be sure I'm doing this right. Right now I'm running for 20 minutes about 5 times a week before I eat in the mornings and this is what I eat every day:

Meal 1 (5:30AM)- Oatmeal and milk, 20g whey with milk, coffee - 38g protein

    Meal 2 (9:00AM)- A nutrigrain bar or banana/mango

Meal 3 (12:00PM)- Grilled chicken, about 20g protein worth -20g protein

Meal 4 (4:30PM)- Beef Jerky, about 32g worth, Diet Coke - 32g protein

    Meal 5 (6:00PM)- 1 can tuna and small green salad or a mango/banana - 33g protein

    Meal 6 (8:00PM)- 1/2 cup cottage cheese - 15g

Mangos and bananas are some of the highest gi fruits. How about an apple or some berries instead?

Also, I'd work in some more EFA's.

Any type of food in moderation is ok. if you would like to lower the GI of any food all you have to do is add some protien.

Sure, adding protein would help. I don't agree that any food in moderation is ok though. Mangos and bananas are much better choices than some though.

nutrigrain bars are sugar and refined carbs. also, replace the fruit with some nuts. you have absolutely no EFA's that i can see..

That doesnt look like much food, your height weight bf% would help.
I would add some good complex carbs, and some more veggies.
