    For Pockets (or anyone else).

If you take a supplement to boast your training your growth from that comes from the training, not the supplement.

Since Pockets you don’t take any supplements, do you take any recovery supplements? If not and you say you are this He Man bodybuilder than your gains come from training. If your muscles grow as much as the dude taking supplements and so-called eating enough protein than the muscles grow from training.

I am blown away by the sheer number of constituents who are supporting your "beliefs"

    good work

I call them beliefs as in order to call them knowledge, you would half to be able to substantiate them

I had to read that several times..

Are you suggesting that the Muscle is built during training? The claim that you have made many times? Without proof?

If so, that's not how it works son.

Here is how the muscle is built.

After you workout, your body repairs or replaces damaged muscle fibers through a cellular process where it fuses muscle fibers together to form new muscle protein strands or myofibrils. These repaired myofibrils increase in thickness and number to create muscle hypertrophy (growth). Muscle growth occurs whenever the rate of muscle protein synthesis is greater than the rate of muscle protein breakdown. This, however, does not happen while you actually lift the weights. Instead, it occurs while you rest.

This sh!t isn't rocket science. I honestly don't know why you struggle with it so much.

It isn't rocket science. When you lift weights your body is not only stressing the muscles, it is also producing it's own nutrients to the muscles that will actually repair them, call it proteins, endorphins, blood, whatever.

    eat 6-8 meals per day?

Why do you think there aren’t people out there who are as big as a pro bodybuilder that don’t eat that many meals?

How do you even know what the pro did as a beginner and intermediate? Bodybuilders and bodybuilding is not something everyone that does it makes money. Many people who persue it become bums.

Eating like that is also a placebo effect, it builds fat, not muscle giving a fuller look, trim the fat and muscle is essentially the same.

You shouldn’t even compare yourself to a pro, most of them trained harder in the gym and that’s why they became “pro”.

Not just placebo, the fat within the muscle (think marbled steak) makes the muscle plumper and in some cases, most notably the very bottom of bench press, it can slightly improve the leverages and help the lift. OK that's not an IFBB concerned, just mentioning...

Tendons and ligiments are also part of muscle these become stronger in training and aren’t a placebo effect. Tendons are way more important than fat for long term strength and growing muscles.

After reading some of what you guys talked about earlier and listening more to this Don Layman (was interesting), I ordered some leucine. And sesame seed flour (was 46% protein, 19 fat, 6 carbs, 15 fibers) - want to try low carb blueberry muffins and pancakes.

Oh, here was the talk if someone want to listen. He said 2.5 grams are needed for that mtor thingy to start things up. If eating good quality stuff, maybe eggs and the like for breakfast I guess it is still easy to miss this limit. Need around 30 g of proteins for leucine (around 8-9% of that) to hit that limit. If get just 2 g - nothing happens. He explained that since most older folks, for example, get the majority of their protein during dinner, and not enough at other hours, most of them spend 22 hrs per day in a catabolic state. Anyways, old news perhaps and hope I didn't repeat what you brought up already. Just that I haven't followed any nutrition stuff for some time and suddenly find it interesting.

Provide one single paper/study that confirms what you are saying about resistance training and muscle growth - you won't be able to and you full well know it.

I'd be interested in seeing this as well.
