Past few days have had a few times of randomly seeing past the sim. Not glitch in matrix. More like when you are playing an open world game and you are against a wall or cliff and you push against and kind of fallthrough and see the other side.

Anyone else seeing past the simulation lately?

the more fulfilling your life, the less you need to detach from reality. the idea of a simulation is to justify a person's sh!tty existence they've created for themselves.

Yeah there was a significant change in 2012 and then a major one around late 2014 to 2016. Lots of glitches in the matrix since 2014 as well. To me its like some kind of purgatory or dreamstate that I cant change. Just glitches everywhere. Cern also fired up in 2012 and since they found the Higgs boson nothing has felt the same. Idk if thinks changed then or around 2015 or so but something has warped reality. There is evil rising across the world and it all just kind of came out of nowhere. Man i don't remember any negativity from before 2012. It seems like that year things got dark depressing and negative overall. I remember in 2010-2011 especially everyone was so happy to socialize and talk about anything and we just went with the flow. Everyone connected with each other. Then smart phones and social media came along and things changed. It's almost like for most people their personalities got uploaded online and they are just a shell of themselves physically if that makes any sense. Not everyone is like this but this is the general vibe i get. I'm weird as **** now unless I'm in a place where socializing is forced. Like at my job I can talk normal to my coworkers but I act desperate and weird around anyone else. Even the way I talk is weird now so i cant just be trying to talk to random people about dumb ****, I'm weird now and very desperate. When I started feeling desperate is when I started to just put my head down and ignore everyone. Idk what else to do

Time to take the observer effect pill. Cliffs: you can change the results of certain experiments by merely looking at them.

reality is just the sum of all consciousness imagining itself into existence. It is a simulation but not in the way most people think of it....you can manifest your thoughts into reality. it takes time though.

This ignores so much detail in favour of a sensationalist article, and is purposefully misleading.
Wave function collapse doesn't require an observer, it requires an interaction, which then causes decoherence. To say observation is what causes the wave function collapse is ridiculously misleading (although it has been used by many respectable scientists despite this), what it tells us more than anything is that reality may be event driven and not entity driven, and it may be more relative than we'd like to admit. It however, in no way tells us that the actual act of observation is special, or at least no more special than any other kind of interaction, whether there is an observer or not. It isn't the act of 'looking' that causes the particle to take a definite state, it's the act of becoming entangled with it, and that's true whether you're a living observer, or an inanimate object that is incapable of observation.
This is the problem with trying to 'simplify' physics, it's an admirable pursuit but at some point it eliminates so much nuance that in popular culture things like the (apparent) wave function collapse become spooky and misleading, when that is not quite the reality. You will not find consciousness as an ontological entity in any of the mainstream theories of quantum mechanics.
Quantum mechanics doesn't really support, or rule out simulation theory, it just is what it is whether we're in a simulation or not. But it doesn't stop people trying to shoehorn quantum mechanics to fit whatever theory they are tied to. I'd say the fact quantum mechanics is discrete, or the fact it appears non-local would be more support for sim theory than the wave function collapse (i'm not saying it is either, i'm just pointing out that the wave function collapse isn't even the most compelling part of quantum mechanics to shoehorn into sim theory).Last edited by TappingTheZen; 04-02-2023 at 05:20 AM.

I saw that in theater IIRC and remember it was good and that it was weird, but no clue about the plot anymore.
My daughter just made me aware of backrooms and limerent spaces a few days ago. She was describing a video game she has been playing called Doors where you have to go through 100 doors and different creatures attack you. Told her it sounded like Pac Man.
FWIW I believe evil is real and seems to be more active + that we can choose to mentally direct ourselves towards a positive outcome, and that maybe if enough people are focusing their personal energy and actions on moving towards "happily ever after" that it can make a difference.
I just read this in the past week and it is a lot more wordy and well developed than my own thoughts have been, but the general shape is the same. What we have experienced the last few years is different from what came before in a noticeable way and normal human fallibility [lust, greed, vanity, etc.] doesn't seem big enough to account for it.
Not saying it is specifically "ancient gods", just saying that it feels bigger and nastier than tribalist apes or rat heaven.
Have the Ancient Gods Returned?
These days, to my surprise, people want to talk to me about evil.
In an essay last year, and in my book The Bodies of Others, I raised a question about existential, metaphysical darkness.
I concluded that I had looked at the events of the past three years using all of my classical education, my critical thinking skills, my knowledge of Western and global history and politics; and that, using these tools, I could not explain the years 2020-present.
Indeed I could not explain them in ordinary material, political or historical terms at all.
This is not how human history ordinarily operates.
I could not explain the way the Western world simply switched, from being based at least overtly on values of human rights and decency, to values of death, exclusion and hatred, overnight, en masse — without resorting to reference to some metaphysical evil that goes above and beyond fallible, blundering human agency.INTP Crew

Yeah kind of like my “wifi” is too slow, and the video of the simulation can’t play at a fast enough framerate to trick my eyes into thinking its real. Or my eyes have gotten accustomed to it and notice the glitching more. Or maybe with all the additional wifi and bluetooth etc everywhere i am seeing clips of someone else’s reality.
