Hypothetical scenario.
What is your opinion, IF :
The Supreme Court of Florida or Texas or some other red state, were to bring up charges on Joe and Hunter Biden.
Democrats have used a blue state, New York, to charge a former President, Trump.
Fine, they crossed the rubicon.
So, what is your opinion if Republicans now follow suit, and a red state decides to one up this situation, and charge a sitting President? Joe and Hunter Biden.
I made this thread as a response to this article :
https://nypost.com/2023/03/31/gop-ca...mp-indictment/
“All bets are off. You can expect grand jury indictments of leftist politicians like Biden, [former House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and [Senate Majority Leader Chuck] Schumer as surely as night follows day,” said Tom Fitton, president of the conservative legal group Judicial Watch.
“You can be sure that there are prosecutors across Florida and Texas right now who are looking for a state law hook into the Biden family,” he added. “And if they’re not, they’re not doing their jobs.”

Opinions on a red state, Florida, doing the same thing and charging Joe/Hunter Biden?

Charge them with what? And the Supreme Court of Fl ain't charging anybody with anything boyo. Some Florida DA could certainly charge the Bidens if they committed a crime in Florida, but then a crime would actually have had to have been committed.

Unless their alleged crimes were under their jurisdiction, which none are from what I've seen, then it would be pure theater and complete horse chit.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Do you have any clue about the years and thousands of hours and testimony given to build this case? You cultist think it's a political witch hunt when it fact it was thoroughly investigated and corroborated over years.
Now what crime exactly will the Bidens be charged with?Early AM workout crew.

Things have now changed. The justice system is now politicized. Welcome to a world where any politician will be charged and indicted in a blue/red state, regardless if legit or not.
“You just need probable cause. A grand jury can indict a ham sandwich. We just saw that in New York. And the Bidens actually committed real crimes. These are real crimes that the Bidens committed. There is smoking gun evidence that the Bidens were corruptly and illegally on Chinese and Ukrainian oligarchs’ payrolls.”Last edited by CalmWind; 04-01-2023 at 11:05 AM.

IF it was a violation, it was a misdemeanor in 2015-2016. And the statute of limitations ran out long ago. Several important people in the system said it wasn't a crime, like the former FEC head.
Dems are forcing a charge on a 7 year old misdemeanor, that many people already looked at back then and refused to push forward for lack of case.
Rubicon has been crossed. Anyone can be indicted now by a state of their political opposition and get mugshotted and have to defend themselves.Last edited by CalmWind; 04-01-2023 at 04:15 PM.

Is Trump a sitting president? And again, what crimes would they be charged with? Would the determination of said crimes be after thousands of hours of corroboration and witness testimony?
Boyo you legit have ZERO clue how an actual DA handles these types of things. Will you be saying the same thing when Trump is charged in Georgia and for stealing classified documents?Early AM workout crew.

I believe there are many republicans right now, looking through Biden family crimes. A sitting US President will be indicted as a result.
“I understand the Bidens may have had some oil and gas deals that deal with Texas. I think maybe Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton should start looking at this long and hard … and Louisiana with [Republican state Attorney General Jeff] Landry,” Davis said.
“Paxton and Landry, they need to look at this,” he added. “And if you can find a conspiracy and any of the overt acts of a conspiracy are committed in any of those states, you can bring charges.”Last edited by CalmWind; 04-01-2023 at 11:16 AM.

I think this was the last straw for many republicans in the never ending political tug of war with democrats. Republicans are not going to be the bigger man and take the high road on this.
I predict Republicans are going to decide to go down the same road the Dems are on, and play dirty politics, and it will be deserved, even if the US is worse off for it.
I don't think Dems understand how far they have come, and this was it. Get ready for banana republic USA because GOP won't be the adults anymore."Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me." - Psalm 23

Why don't let you let the trial play out? If he's innocent he'll be found innocent of these charges. We'll see about the next indictments. And again, what crimes will democrats be charged with?
I don't recall you screeching like this when John Edwards was indicted for the same thing?

Would be hilarious to see the anti-Trump cultists reaction to that, especially given the fact that the Biden Crime Family is actually guilty of illegal activity (you know, like the kind of stuff that Joe is on camera laughing and bragging about).

Blame Trump's dumb ass for doing dirt in a blue state, especially in NY where he's hated.

If you are a conservative doing business or living in a blue state, it's a good idea to take legal precautions. Do not make it easy to be taken to court. There is a two tier justice system in blue states, it looks like to me.
It's possible that similar could happen in red states but less likely. A difference between blue and red states is that red states are open for business. They tend to want people to move to their states. Indicting people for political reasons, as New York is doing with Trump, tends to scare people. It makes people and business want to leave.
My thinking is though if blue states continue to politicize the legal system, red states might be forced to do similar to blue politicians in hopes of stopping the legal political attacks. Fingers crossed it doesn't read that point.

Nonsense.
The only way forward is to peel the onion and the GOP start legally charging dem politicians the same way. Make both sides start to see reason and cry about it. So that there is an agreement to stop doing it.

Not the Bidens, but did see Florida is taking legal action against pro-abortion fanatics. This comes on the heals of Biden and the DOJs legal attacks against anti abortion protestors.
"Florida is using the FACE Act against pro-abortion fanatics"
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/o...rtion-fanatics
excerpt:
If you're involved at all in pro-life activism, then you have heard of the FACE Act. This is a federal law, signed by President Bill Clinton in 1994, that is typically used to sue pro-life protesters for blocking access to abortion clinics. The idea is to add a steep financial penalty to any possible criminal penalties, as the former can actually be considerably more intimidating than the latter.
This is the very same law under which the Biden Justice Department brought a bogus case against pro-life activist Mark Houck and recently came up empty.
IS MICHELANGELO'S 'DAVID' INAPPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN?
But this same law is now being used for good — against some of the abortion fanatics accused of attacking pregnancy help centers after the leak of the Dobbs decision.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is suing the original two defendants, whom she identifies as Antifa members, Caleb Hunter Freestone and Amber Smith-Stewart, for their alleged attacks on three Florida crisis pregnancy centers last May, June, and July. One of the two, Freestone, has previously been charged with a FACE Act violation, the lawsuit notes, for disrupting a fundraiser for the clinic he allegedly attacked in Hialeah, Fla.
What this means is that their criminal indictment, to which two additional defendants were added this week, could be just the beginning of their problems. The two (or perhaps all four, if the others are added to this lawsuit) could soon be saddled with very large debts that cannot be discharged in bankruptcy.....
