I never post on FB or any social media about politics or gun rights.
I’m not armed to the teeth. I am into hunting and self defense. I have a few guns. I do conceal carry every day as it’s my right. Thank you 2nd Amendment. It’s like putting a set belt on. Same difference to me. I can’t plan a car accident just like I can’t plan a crazy insane person wanting to shoot up a place I’m at. I want to be able to protect myself, my family and even you if you are present. I train with my EDC. I respect it. I’m fully aware of when and how to use it. I’m aware of when I can’t have it and respect the laws. If I’m in a grocery story, park, etc. Someone goes off, you will be thanking someone like me. The police are minutes away. Someone concealing at the scene is seconds away from stopping the threat.
Liberals like you are so focused on total gun control. They should be focused on taking guns out of bad guys hands. Not good guys like me. Maybe make m it a mandatory life sentence for being a criminal and using a firearm illegally. Felon in possession, life sentence. Set the bar high.
Mental health is a whole new topic. But sounds like you might already be there.

Repped for a reasonable answer. I'm definitely there when it comes to mental health, which is why I think there needs to be checks when people purchase guns - especially multiple ones - that aren't currently there. Other countries have them, and it could be implemented. I think guns should be not so readily available to just anyone who decides to get one.
However, the fact you NEED to be afraid of some crazy person wanting to shoot up a place is IMO the source of the problem. It happens in the US way more frequently than anywhere else in the first world because of the gun culture that has been perpetuated for twenty years.

Yous guys arguing on the interwebz about guns for or against are wasting your time.
No one is ever going to give up their guns and no one is going to stop buying guns.
You’re nevah changing the US constitution without a literal war.
So keep fighting on the webzLast edited by BrunotheBoxer; 03-30-2023 at 05:23 AM.

$3500 for a brand new Thompson submachine gun?
Fukking sold. Where do I pick it up? An enthusiast could EASILY spend $3500 on a nice semi-auto rifle currently. Sell a full auto Tommy gun for that price? You wouldn't be able to keep them on the shelves...
You said they weren't readily available. Now you say they were too expensive. Pick a goal post and stick to it fukkhead.Permabulk/bloatlord Crew

I bought a new hunting rifle last year. Rifle, Scope, Rings, it was $4,000. I'm your standard middle class citizen. Married, with a kid, have a house, etc, etc.
If someone wanted a Tommy, they could find a way. I know a couple people who have Tommy guns now. One buddy has a Hitler Buzz Saw, 1200 rounds per minute. Came with 3 barrels. When the barrel gets hot, you switch it out super fast so you can keep shooting.
Remember when Biden said people can't by fully auto guns earlier this week, that was hilarious.
