OP probably drives a shiety eco box that only comes with a manual because high revving is the only way for 100 crank hp to move the car with his fat self in it. Imagine bragging about driving a manual when its not a sports car (or maybe a specific off road vehicle).
And for reference, I have had 5 manual cars, converted one automatic over to a manual, and those were all highly modified sports cars.

Seeing as 99% of people drive automatic in the US, it's hard to find a manual these days. Even when I visited several countries in Europe over the past couple years I've noticed that it's becoming automatic dominant as compared to it being manual dominant decades ago.
I could be sitting in mind numbing traffic and I'd still prefer a manual.

The only Subaru I had was an Outback XT which only came in auto, I wished they had the 5 speed manual option for that trim, but then again I thought that was the worst car I ever owned and I would never buy a Subaru ever again.
My only stick shift car right now is a NA Miata, and it's probably the best car for a stick IMO. Very fun to drive, great shifting action, with a light and easy to handle clutch. It's a very pure driving experience.

If I had space for a fun car I would get a rwd coupe with manual gearbox but as it is I have one family SUV and two 8000lb work vans I legit don't want another car to worry about and I have nowhere to park it if I did. I know those feels tho OP manual is goat.

Your traditional manual transmission is outdated technology for sure. That being said, I still love manual and don't ever want to have a car that's not manual.
However, we should be more concerned with "save the engines", instead of "save the manuals" at this point. Stupid "green" policies for EV vehicles being tossed around in the EU and parts of the US.
