If Alex Pierera beats Adesanya at UFC 287 and then moves up to LHW to avenge his coach and mentor Glover Texeira, it will be one of the best stories in combat history. It would also solidify his as one of the best of all time after only a couple years. **** would be crazy.

He's gonna beat Izzy but he's gonna get destroyed by anyone with a semblance of a ground game. Honestly if Izzy takes him down he could beat him but I don't think his pride will let him

Very curious is Izzy's ego will dictate how the fight goes. Dude is super prideful, so could see him not taking the smart route with a more ground focused attack, and try to prove he can indeed stand and take out Alex striking.
Honestly, if there was ever a fight that would bring the dog out of Izzy (like the Kelvin fight), it HAS TO BE this one. Truly is legacy defining.

This, if he doesn't knock out the person first (which could happen, not discounting that). but guys like Vettori and Whittaker are a bad matchup. But Alex had the size and the danger factor so who knows.
He could beat Jamahal Hill but imo would get rekt by Ankalaev, Jan, Jiripositivity brah crew

Izzy did take Alex down a few times but I don't think Izzy capitalized on it.
Alex kept pressuring Izzy towards the fence which is where Izzy had trouble but it was also where Izzy was able to take him down.
Jon Jones would have taken Alex down and elbowed him to a TKO.
If Izzy's coach learned any lessons from the previous. fight it's proper take downs, Jiu-Jitsu and Ground and Pound. Also not getting pressured onto the fence.
Otherwise, I think Izzy was beating Alex on the striking.
Izzy has been used to doing the five Ds: Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive and Dodge.
But it didn't work on Alex because the guy is huge for a middleweight.Financial Freedom/Passive Income Crew
