This has been analyzed repeatedly. The costs were outweighed by the benefits.

It's not global warming but chit is clearly phucked up. 3 years in a row where I live, northern california we had record cold winters and record hot summers. The metric being used for record hot summers is number of days over 100 degrees. Not sure what the metric is for record cold winters. This year we saw snow for the first time since 2002.
We've also been in a record drought for like 8 years, until this year where we are getting drenched by rain. They are claiming record down pours, though I am skeptical and not sure of the metric being used. As I have seen far worse flooding in the past, I remember 97-98 El Nino winter event, couldn't leave the house, creeks, intersection, sewage were over flowing with water. All you could do is stay home from school and watch towns under water on the news.
I believe in climate change/instability, though I'm not convinced it is man made. The planet has seen plenty since human industrialization, look at all the ancient cities they find under water, the ice age, the younger dryas, even the Sahara used to be a lush woodland/jungleKnow Justice

It was a virus that wiped out the majority of Native Americans. The loss of so much life actually cooled down the planet.
Same with Ghengis Khan, he wiped out lime 10% of the world's population.
“During the Mongol invasion, there was enough time for the forests to re-grow and absorb significant amounts of carbon.” So Genghis Khan and his empire, which lasted for two centuries, actually cooled down the Earth. He is also entitled as a green invader as he unintentionally saved mother nature by reforestation.
