Look it up. It was on the last ballot and everybody who lived on the front range voted for it. They released like 60 wolves around vail area and rocky mountain national park is what I heard on a podcast.... But wolves have been established in Colorado for at least 10 years. I've seen them with my own eyes while hunting around the Craig area. Not just lone wolves either, we saw a large pack. I was talking in private with a state biologist and she admitted that they knew about the wolf populations in Colorado but they couldn't go public with it because they wanted funding from the federal government by releasing them.

I've heard rumors from respected hunting guides that there are grizzlies in northern Colorado now as well. I believe them. We've been seeing them in places for the first time in 100 years throughout Wyoming. It wouldn't be unrealistic for some to wonder down the continental divide into the Walden area... That's where there have been sightings.I'm 32 not 51

As an avid beef eater, and meat supporter......this is actually pretty sad. Poor cow.
Will still eat meat, idgaf....but still sad watching the poor thing alive, guts out, and being dragged for the bear to him/her alive until it bleeds out2014 Misc Resolution: Negging no pics (screen captures of text don't count as pics)

Mother nature has no mercy. I respect the food chain and understand that predators play a vital role in the ecology. But humans can fill that niche too and do so in a much more humane way. Nothing as humane as a well placed bullet. Confusing that organizations like PETA want to rewild the rural areas (release grizzlies and wolves) while simultaneously banning hunting and outlawing predator management.... They actually did that with the wolves in Colorado. They wrote in the bill that the wolves will never be a game animal and defined them as a protected species. When the feds released wolves back into Yellowstone, the state of Wyoming at least allowed land owners and ranchers the freedom to shoot wolves on sight as well as opened a wolf hunting season to manage the population.... Even with the "extreme" wolf management, their populations boomed and they are established in every single portion of the state.... Say good bye to Colorado's elk, deer, and moose populations. Also feel bad for the ranchers. They can't do anything legally to prevent wolf predation on their cattle. Ultimately the state of Colorado will end up paying guides to cull the wolf population at some point on the tax payers dollars. Where they could have just opened up a hunting season and made money to put back into the conservation of all species. Some backwards California predator management policies.

I didn't say they would go extinct. Colorado has the largest elk herd in the USA. But they won't for long... Each wolf kills 20+ elk per year. They will directly compete with humans and the number of elk tags will be reduced. That is a fact. It's also a myth that they only weed out the weak animals. Sure they do, but they are also capable of chasing down prime elk and slowly bite at their hamstrings until they colapse. Then they eat them alive.
