So I’ve been interested in this car ever since I heard one, seriously one of the best sounding cars I’ve heard, that 5cyl hnnggg!!! It seems it’s got a really stout motor, many people getting tons of HP w/ little mods and a tune.
None are on dealer lots, I’m guessing demand is high. This would be my first Audi, what does this misc think about these cars? Anyone know the wait on ordering one?

I test drove a 2022 s3 a while back and loved it tbh. Obviously the rs3 probably way more fun.
At that price range tho idk. Theres alot of options. Hell even a used rs5 might be better. Audi didn't wanna give me anything respectable for my trade in so I just walked anyways.Sometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

i'm 6'1" 220lbs. driver's seat is comfortable. rear seats exclusively for kids unless you get the wagon version. i wouldn't want to haul grown adults for long journeys.
that said, it's an exciting car. simple ECU tune will make close to 450hp. it's fast AF off the line, srs. only issue is understeer. but you won't notice until you go ham on the track or do illegal chit on public roads.
once you hear the 5cyl, you'll be in love. nothing like it short of a v10. interior is spartan for the price, but let's be honest, idgaf about that. you'll get stuff (good for 2017, but normal for 2023) like android auto/apple carplay, bluetooth, cruise control, moonroof. more than enough for me. standout interior feature is the bang and olufsen sound. really good for this class of cars.
been driving it for 5 years with ZERO ISSUE. i repeat ZERO ISSUES. just standard oil changes and brake pads.

RS3 is crazy potent , but I couldn’t imagine this as a DD if I had a family of any size. I’d be looking at an RS5 sport back at a minimum if an RS car was the requirement. Otherwise, M3 will serve you better, and that’s still somewhat of a stretch. If it’s just you though, RS3 is a solid choice. BRB smoking 99% of what you find on the road

I know what you mean about Audi, VW and even Porsche (my Cayenne has VW parts that are pennies on the dollar to replace compared to going to a P car dealer). I'm just assuming that you've never looked up how capable modded RS3s are, that powertrain is sick on the street. It's not a luxury vehicle, it's a small A3 or a Golf R with just that extra cylinder, but it's the same how my chitty M3 is just a base 3 series with a few things changed out.
That said, they're great in a straight line but with the engine hanging out so much over the front axle they're not corner carversLast edited by KilaByte; 03-14-2023 at 06:53 PM.

I got my quad cab f150, tons of room for my family. Looking for something to play with but able to take my family with me as well.
That 5cyl is hnnngggg! I don’t even want anything else from Audi except maybe a q8 for a daily. Just interested in RS3.
Just like any good car made, there’s a waiting list and you might not even get a 23’ if you sign up now. Good luck finding one on a lot.*TRUMP 2024 Crew

Very quick in a straight line, still pretty average in the bends compared to other vehicles of a similar price (M2, A45s).
Unfortunately Audi have neutered the sound and it seems to get worse with every MY. I understand this is a Euro compliance thing but it still sucks.
The new A3 interiors don’t feel as special as the A-class or new 2 series, but the build quality is still very nice.
They’d made a great daily driver but I’m not sure they are worth the price, especially what clowns are asking for on the used market.GMiscer crew

Had one for almost two years. Brilliant car. Sounds amazing, crazy fast on minor mods, and pretty damn efficient for what it is (I was averaging 24mpg mixed some weeks). But it's a small car and mine was slightly lowered which was problematic in certain driveways and pretty cramped whenever I needed to carry people so I decided to sell. Great value retention flipped it for exactly what I paid.
Picked up a BMW X3M and very satisfied with the change. Nice interior, a lot more space, and the rear bias AWD is more fun than the RS3 was. And post dyno tune it's a complete monster. Comparable performance to the tuned RS3 out of a family friendly SUV. Doesn't sound as cool as the RS3 but a better overall fit for me.
