Watching first round Vettori fight now and still amazes me how bad many guys are in the boxing/striking/defence department after years of sparring - no fundamentals. Makes me wonder about IQ and coaching, lol. Can't they just recognize weak points and spend a week or two in a pure boxing gym or hire pro boxing coaches just for a little while?

Luke Rockhold vs. Mike Perry

Round 1: Rockhold in white with red wraps, Perry in silver and blue wraps. Left by Rockhold. Right to the body by Perry - no, it was too low and we’ve got a pause in the action. Perry feints and closes the distance. Gets in a left before the ref breaks them up. Solid left hand wobble Perry. Rockhold wades in, Perry clinches him. Now Perry lands a left that backs up Rockhold. The left hand has been money for both people.

Round 2: Pair of jabs by Rockhold answered with a 2-piece by Perry. Rockhold slips, no harm done. Left by Rockhold, then a right hand lands clean for Perry. He lands to the body. Perry again closes and rips to the rib cage. Rockhold complaining about something, ref tells them to fight on. Perry walks forward again and continues to rib-roast. Rockhold looking at the ref, and he’s complaining about something. He doesn’t seem to want to continue, and the ref obliges him. It’s all over.

I watched UFC since 1994 bud stopped after Covid. Biden’s America ugh. But they took the crowds away and once the crowds came back, I couldn’t get back into it. Many fighters I don’t know now.

UFC has a few interesting fights. Triple C vs Sterling: I kinda want both guys to lose....but am guessing Triple C will pull it off. Burn vs Belal is another good one. Hoping Burns wins that one.

Last month, former UFC fighter Jake Shields posted a challenge to "the toughest trans men" to a bout, and one has answered the call.

Mack Beggs, a biological female from Texas who has transitioned, posted on Instagram that he was down to go against Shields.

After Shields claimed to receive no response from any trans fighters, he revised his offer, saying he'd take on former UFC fighter Mike Jackson and 10 trans fighters simultaneously.

But Beggs wants to enter the octagon with Shields one on one.

"We just going to make this an official call out, but Jake Shields I will take you up on your offer," Beggs said, via OutKick. "But the offer isn’t going to be 10 versus one and 10 trans men — you’re going to be fighting for the rest of the night.

"You’re going to do a one-on-one type match. You’re going to do it right. If you’re going to call yourself a fighter do it f---ing right."

Beggs said it was "disrespectful to the sport of MMA" to "call out 10 trans men" and say he would "whoop them."

Beggs, 24, added that Shields and "people who think like him" have a "fetish" for transgender people in his defense of trans fighters.

"It’s the fact that y’all are so fixated and hyper-fixated and have some f---ing fetish with trans women that you even forget that we f---ing out here, and we going to f--- you up."
