Jones is a huge upgrade. I live in Boise so I was rooting for Mattison and Ezra but peace out, we got serious upgrades at both.

I didn't understand the Mattison extension last offseason. He really was only good one season for us (rookie year).

Ezra got way overpaid by Jax. His PFF grade is the same as Ed Engram's (the Vikings OL guy who all the fans love to sh-t on).

Here are the 3 options in my mind:

1) Package the multiple firsts we now own (and other picks/players) to move into the top 3 for either Maye or Daniels

OR

2) Stay put and take BPA @11 (likely DT, Edge, or CB) and Penix Jr. @23.

OR

3) Stand pat with the picks and see if Daniels or Maye fall out of the top 3--then move up (for less compensation) and grab whichever guy in picks 4 through 7.

Dan Patrick said it well. Kirk is a B level talent, signed for A level $$ and produced D production in big games. 1-4 in the playoffs.

You underestimate how terrible the QB play was for the Falcons. This is a massive upgrade. Is it going to make them a Super Bowl threat? No of course not. Does it make them the obvious favorite in a terrible NFC South? Absolutely. And honestly it's a move that gives them a chance to win a wild card round game in the playoffs for that matter as well.

Falcons followed up with an underrated move to flip Ridder for Rondale Moore as well. They need to fix their defense before they become a real force, but like I said they look like a team that's the favorite for the division and has the potential to win a wild card round game in the playoffs. 1 or 2 players wasn't going to make them a SB favorite. You could have given them Mahomes and that wouldn't have been true.

Bro I'm not even hating on the Vikings. It's just funny how quickly Kirk Cousins has become a terrible QB the second the Vikings didn't work out a deal with him to some of their fans. The butt hurt sour grapes is so painfully obvious in that post I quoted because deep down Berts knows they're really f*cked without a QB now.

Bro--I am not really sure what your are blathering about and I don't know anything about Berts. All I know is there is a large contingent of Vikings fans who never wanted anything to do with Kirk dating back to originally signing him in 2018. I was/am one of those fans. I felt like Kirk was a fringe top 15 QB at the time--and it made zero sense to make him the highest paid player in football. It ended exactly how I thought things would meaning we spent a ton of $ and had little to nothing to show for it as far as playoff runs. Biggest regret I have is it should have only been a 3 year experiment with Kirk (his original deal was 2018-2020), but they kept doubling down on their mistake with even more damaging financial impact. This team should have started over at 2-3 years ago instead of having to do it now.......

the game is going to be decided by the refs more so now, brb last drive.. tackle runner from behind? let him score? tackle runner automatic 1st down 15 yard penalty whatever the fuk.
