It's a lot of openings, but like I said its' mostly unskilled positions (warehouse, machine operators, retail, ect) I have been a QA Specialist/Engineer, but most of the jobs open are in the Software field, which I don't have experience in.
It doesn't help that the area I live in is very blue collar. I've tried applying to multiple remote positions but they could have 1K + applicants.6'1 - 240lbs

I'm applying for freelance work on Upwork and it's a similar experience. I'm lucky if my proposal even gets looked at. It's a nightmare. My only other option is working some terrible minimum wage job so I keep doing this, but it's terribly dispiriting. I feel like I'm banging my head against the wall every day.

Gov is definitely trolling with the unemployment numbers saying thisisfineeverythingisfine.png
Every single job posting on LinkedIn has 200 applications in an hour, 500 in a day and 800-1000 within a week... Clear sign that there aren't enough jobs
I have a job but am looking for something better and at this point I'm numb to the ridiculously long interview process and don't give a **** anymore
Email rejections for companies that sound really cool sucks though

I am on Fiverr. I've had an account for the better part of a year now. I have my rates set low so I can get a few jobs and get a high rating. One guy hired me but it's been crickets otherwise.
Honestly, the whole thing is just maddening. I know I have the skills to make okay money but getting clients just seems impossible. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, or if in fact I'm just having bad luck, or what. And I don't have any real conventional work experience, so my only other option is a minimum wage job somewhere.

Anyone who is paying 80K and can’t find workers is either in an environment where conditions are atrocious and not even worth that kind of money, or they are asking for qualifications way beyond the 80K mark e.g. masters degrees, multiple certifications, decades of experience etc.
But the solution is always to pay more money, and you’ll eventually get what you want.

Freelance writing is probably a saturated market. I think that might be the issue more than anything. Lots of people can write... Or at least think they can.

When browsing through other people's gigs it seemed like including your face was standard procedure, for whatever reason.
I think Upwork is still my best gig platform option. Fiverr attracts the cheapest clients it seems. But maybe I should give up on Upwork too and start cold pitching clients. That sounds like it'll be even more frustrating, though, lol.

Nah, I don't. See, you have some genuine hard skills. That's probably why you did well. Writing IS a real skill, but at the same time, there's no doubt that it has a relatively low barrier of entry. Lots of moderately educated people have some ability to write. That's why getting writing work depends as much on marketing yourself well as anything. I didn't know that when I started writing online.

If you're in IT or programming, look up Joshua fluke on YouTube. His **** helped me srs. He does livestreams where he critiques people's resumes.
You gotta understand that your application gets scanned by a bot before it ever meets human eyes. You can be 100% fit and still get rejected because of retard ai. You need to adjust your resume for each job application to match keywords. You need to hit 70-90% of keywords to have a chance, 40-50 won't cut it.☆☆☆Nissan Frontier Crew☆☆☆

Yeah I freaking hate marketing, just let the skill do it for me lol
Yeah my resumes pretty good. I know it's mostly ai which is why I thank recruiters for working with me.

If you're only getting 11 interviews out of 100 applications, your resume needs work. Applied for 18 jobs when I was starting in IT, and I got 5 interviews out of it and 2 offers out of those interviews.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
