It will finally be surpassed by...... its own DLC which is a PS5 exclusive this time around.

The only game I see that can stand a chance against it this year is Spiderman 2, another PS5 game.

Besides FF16, the HFW DLC is one of my most anticipated game. I really hope they dont mess up the giant Horus fight like they messed up with the Ted Faro machine stupidity.

Agree with you, but I still have Burning Shores above FF16 because mainline FFs have sucked since 12 imo. Not counting 14 as a mainline, since that's their MMO. I wish and hope Square is back to form and this doesn't flop like 15.

Glad you will actually try it before giving an opinion but I STRONGLY suggest you play them in order because Horizon 1 is the better story with a big reveal and the impact of part 2 would never be the same without understanding the journey.

Yeah Rift Apart looks great but I'm not as impressed by cartoony landscapes and characters as much as ones trying for some realism. I think those are much harder to pull off.

Big issue with cyberspunk that automatically disqualifies it for me is the awful looking brain dead NPCS that moved and acted like robots. It just threw me off so much.

Rift Apart is so smooth but it literally looks like a Pixar movie. Which is great, but I've been seeing Pixar movies all my life. The exciting thing is dat photorealism bro.

A smoother Horizon, on ps5 only without the ps4 jank, with the lighting of Demon's Souls would be insane.

Dev is definitely incompetent. According to the plaguecels there are rumors of a 60fps patch being worked on.
I'm good with 40fps mode on some games on the new TV. Just started up these 3 games and tried the mode for a min. It slapped on Rift Apart and Horizon, but on Spiderman the 60fps is much better.

My point is this: 30 fps is trash, would never buy.

Sometimes I prefer 40fps to 60

All games should however come with a 60fps standard.

Yeah, check my edit. To elaborate when you say quickness, its mostly all the panning of the environment. With all the buildings whizzing by and backgrounds constantly changing, that's when you notice fps the most.

GOAT console game design should be 40fps is the new resolution mode and 60 fps performance. Throw away the whole 30fps thing. People are having new TVs now, 30 sucks ass.

I've seen this on an XsX. Didn't look like such a great game but graphics were pretty beast, minus some parts like fires which made me lol. Characters and facial animations were fantastic but since I didn't play the game myself, or see much beyond the opening I didn't want to place it on my list. It just may be up there, but still not on Horizon's level imo.

Not sure if srs. I own Elden ring but haven't played it yet. However I did start it and played the first few mins until I was outside in the grass. Look, it seems perfectly playable and the artstyle looks insane but graphics wise it looks really dated compared to Forbidden West.

Cyberpunk completely maxed out everything including RT is a sight to behold. Especially now with DLSS 3 dropped for it. You can hold max settings at above 100fps in 4k on a 4090. Driving around night city with maxed RT is the best vibe in gaming at the moment.

Gotcha. The mo cap in horizon is the best I've seen so far, literally every convo is mo capped. RDR2 looks insane on PC but its age is showing a bit. Still, solid choice.

I just can't vibe with Cyberpunk. The artstyle is somehow too cartoony to me, I don't know if it's because they focused more on lighting and reflections than textures. And again moving about the city and seeing the weak AI with NPCs just broke my immersion.
