100 reps nonstop, 33# plate.
This gives a good shot at my forearms, they look like steel, that's 20 straight years of grip work progress!
But what's the point of grip and neck work for bodybuilding, well I don't get wrist injuries or have any arthritis.

Maybe I worded it incorrectly, so here is what I meant, and all old grip geezers know exactly what I’m talking about-
Arthritis is VERY manageable and mild for those who are serious and don’t neglect grip.
As for the wrists, countless of cookie cutters complain about wrist pain, that will NEVER happen here. When you are in your 90’s I’ll still be saying the same chit in my late 70s. Our circle has many old geezers whom have proved this, unlike the bodybuilder club, lol.Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!

Some guys needed a lesson, starting at 56 is one of 'em. Waiting for my arthritis....................................
I probably already got that chit in my back, a while ago If I slept on a bed at night, my back pain got really fuking bad, but light deads and squats has helped it tremendously. For awhile I had to sleep with my upper body upright from back pain.Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!

Osteoarthritis is very nasty and my sympathies to the >35s who suffer with it.
It's a bizarre situation until very recently it was medical dogma that you had a fixed amount of cartilage, it can't be grown due to no blood supply there and it wears out and that's osteoarthritis. I used to have an old school friend who after his medical degree went on to do a PhD in orthopedic surgery, I tried to reason with him at the time but he'd drunk the kool aid and couldn't see how obviously wrong that explanation of O arthritis is. He stated the dogma so I asked him how big a newborn babies knee and knee-cartilage is, then asked him how big the knee and knee-cartilage of an adult is. After he said that the adult knee was bigger than the babies knee - I told him that was impossible by his earlier reasoning because he said cartilage doesn't grow. Also people who do regular moderate exercise are statistically less like to get O arthritis than people who don't, which also contradicts the it's just wearing out theory
Only very recently has medical dogma admitted that there's some process or processes that builds up cartilage! and some processes that break it down. When the breakdown starts to happen at a higher rate than build up that's when you get O arthritis.
Mostly it's down to genetics and bad luck, but sensible exercise can delay or reduce arthritis a bit. Not saying that LWW's specific exercise is guaranteed to be effective but he's not flat out wrong here as much as he's drastically exaggerating l. Sensible exercise, including gentle impacting and load bearing can delay or prevent arthritis for some people and in some cases can help rehab it a little.
It's an exciting change of thought in the medical world and may lead to real treatments (not just taking a big dose of gut rotting non ster01dal anti inflammatories every day). Sadly by the time they have decent drugs to actually treat the cause is probably after all of us have passed on.
There is some truth behind LWW's wild claimPreferred adjectives: irreverent, facetious, childish
Preferred compound verbs: bull5h1t-disliking, hard-working, forum-baiting
Faith in Jesus first and faith in squats second.
Then other details will start to slot themselves into place.

Chaz just got his panties in a stir because I used the word cookie cutter.
I started lifting because of bodybuilding and there are many bodybuilders who aren’t just smoke and mirror pumpers.
Fat grips are a thing these days, which is good. I used fat bars before everyone and their momma had a smart phone. When the human body breaks down the hands are the last man standing, that’s why many in gripland got hooked on grip work as geezers. I know one particular geezer who does some lifting, I think he’s like a lawyer. He’s one of many geezers who have some pretty impressive grip and forearm strength, they are damn close to closing a CoC #3 gripper.
Once they started grip training, they actually got back into lifting, I always knew there was a connection to grip and overall body strength.Authentic Knights Swing Heavy Steel and Have Hands and Wrists of Steel!
