Says more about his longevity than anything. To play at that high level for that many years is definitely impressive, but doesn't make him the GOAT

the lulziest part about this entire post is you can tell OP genuinely believes this, and he typed up this giant essay of cope trying to convince miscers to believe it too
unfortunately anyone who actually plays/watches basketball or any remotely competitive sport knows this isn't the case
history remembers winners, not losers
when it's all said and done lebron won't even have an argument for top 10

I'll disagree with somebody not being able to break the scoring record in a life time, maybe if Lebron plays say 24 seasons. but the NBA landscape has changed alot since Bron's rookie year. Alot of guys shooting alot more threes, PPG going up, the softer defenses. I think a guy like Luka if he can play 20 seasons could beat Bron's record. nba players are also becoming more talented as scorers.
i'd say Stockton's assist record is way more untouchable.positivity brah crew

Have you seen the guys who guarded MJ? Craig fcking Ehlo was considered a good MJ defender. Look at him.
Are you kidding me? Imagine those fcking scrubs defending LeBron. Also, zone defense was illegal. You had to FULLY commit to a double team and leave you're man completely open if you wanted to double team. You couldn't sag off, pack the strong side, or play a zone back then. The modern Tom Thibodeau defense was illegal then.
Imagine LeBron playing during the time when zones were illegal. Brb, they either defend him 1v1 or double team him and leave another player completely wide open.
Miscers are evidently retarded when it comes to basketball. None of you can separate your emotions towards LeBron when ranking him. Is he a moron with chit politics? Of course. Regardless, you guys can't separate emotions from logic in this case.Last edited by Derplington; 02-01-2023 at 11:18 PM.

Luka is actually gonna be behind Lebron's pace by a good 1200-1500 points at the end of the year. So Luka would have to make up ground he's already lost, while also playing for an additional 17 years averaging 28-29 points.
They already asked Luka if he would play 20+ yrs a couple weeks ago, and he just laughed and said "hell no".. he doesn't take care of his body right now, and is already breaking down in some stretches in his early 20's. There's no way he lasts another 12 years let alone 17+
But the biggest issue is gonna be load management. Today's game puts an immense strain on your body playing defense. I'm the past you didn't need to run the floor and cover the ground like you do in today's NBA. So most players will sit out games due to little injuries or even teams needing them healthy for playoff pushes

One guy is your example?
I can give on a much better one. The Detroit Pistons...his main rival of the 80s and early 90s....absolutely brutalized MJ with their tough D. Just tortured him. And he still lit them up a lot.
Defense back then was 10000000 x stiffer. Partly because they actually tried to play D and partly because the refs didn't call a foul for just breathing on a person.Words to live by...."You're at the shopping mall with your girl but a hot chick walks by. Are you going to look at the hot girl? No. You use your peripheral vision."
