I'm 15M, been training for around 9 months now (didn't have access to a bench for the first two months as I was working out at home). On the 2nd of January, I made a decision I was going to test my 1RPM on bench. I initially thought it was around 190lbs, but with the plates I had available, I either had to go with 185 or 195. So I went with 185 and got it up for TWO reps. This was unexpected, and so the NEXT time I hit chest with my friend (15th of January), I decided to go for 195 instead since I got 185 up for two last time. But THIS TIME... I got 195lbs up for two reps as well! And that's roughly where my max is sitting at now, probably around the 200lb range. Generally speaking, I don't think that's a GREAT bench. But for my age and the length of time I've been lifting weights, I think that's pretty solid. What do you think?
