A legend. Hockey was a big part of my life and I watched a lot of his games when I was growing up.
RIP Sir
56, we posted the same thread at the same time. I deleted mine, and posted the info above. I liked the Leafs but Boston was my Favorite, #14 from the Leafs was my hero. I was lucky enough to attend a hockey school with Keon as my instructor.Air Force Veteran 1976 - 1999

long story as short as I can make it
early 90's
worked for a large company that had a dealer show in Ottawa
One day was a golf day, with a reception dinner for @ 1000 people
Bobby Hull was the motivational speaker
Bobby had a jug in his golf bag all day. He was sloshed by dinner
Our company had a very new President who did not speak much English (Japanese)
Bobby Hull gets up to the podium and says the following....
Before I came up to speak, I was in the washroom relieving myself
I was about to leave when your President, Mr. Higashi stopped me.
He said "Mr. Hull, in Japan we have a custom that after we use the washroom, we wash our hands"
Well I looked him right in the eye and told him "I'm a Chicago Blackhawk, and I don't piss on my hands"
If you can imagine 1000 people eating dinner and there was silence. No coughing No glasses clinking Nothing but absolute silence
The company had no more motivational speakers after thatI don't necessarily agree with everything I say.
