I always remember thinking SNL was so funny back in the 90's when guys like Adam Sandler (when he was actually still funny), Chris Farley, etc. were on it. Saw some tonight, and wasn't amused at all. Who the hell is still watching this crap on a regular basis?

What the hell happened to SNL? Tried watching it tonight, and it's so bad.

Right now it's a parody of Jake from State Farm commercials with the theme being that Jake from State Farm is a black man who has stepped into a white family's life, started boinking the white guy's wife, stole the white guy's whole family and house, and destroyed his entire life. Then the white guy gets hammered and goes to jump off of a bridge to kill himself because of his wife cucking him with black Jake from State Farm until a couple cops show up to "talk him out of it" by doing a brief parody of those shiiiitty Liberty Mutual ads.
What in the actual fukkkkk? How is that supposed to be a humorous sketch concept? This show is worse than bad; it's a dumpster fire filled with buffalo shiiiit on a 100' F, humid summer day.

The show has not been funny or generated new comedians since the 90s.
In the 90s, there were always people becoming movie stars from SNL. Also, the cast created many funny and unique characters that would be talked about all of the time by everyone. People would say the character catchphrase, etc.
Since then, that is not really a thing and the show is almost never funny, at all, and it's not creating celebrities.
I find it puzzling because how can there not be new comedians? If you want to ask me a question:

It’s only ever good when “controversial” comedians (aka those who committed the crime of doing their jobs well) open. Otherwise, it’s just a horrible fusion of dad jokes, politics, and overtly sexual shock humor from notably unattractive women.
I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over.

Liberals and hippies used to be heavily anti corporation
Now they are massive corporate cucks and openly anti European/ civilisation

Same thing, OP. Last time I saw SNL was in the 90s as you mentioned. I don't really want to imagine how it is now in 2023.
I'll just be in my van down by the river*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*
