Love the DS series. Bought all 3 during release day. A Collector's Ed for part 2. But I think it is too soon for me to replay them again. Maybe when it is cheaper? EA games always go cheap after several months.

I loved the first one. I don't think I played the other 2. Wasn't 3 kind of a weird offshoot of the originals? Either way, I've been playing old games lately (Alan wake remaster, Kingdoms of Amalur re-reckoning), why not another one.

As a PS4 bro who isn’t gonna be able to play this because it’s next gen exclusive, I’m glad this is next gen exclusive. The graphics and immersion are going to be off the charts without needing to include older hardware.

Yeah you're right, I suck. Went on vacation for a while and finally back. Only 65 hrs into Witcher 3 and having fun but I'm excited to start a modern game with modern graphics to flex my new TV. Will hold off purchases until I clear things out. Fuark.

I mean I would definitely play DS and whatever else first then, Elden ring will take you MONTHS.

Dead Space 1 and 2 are some of my favorite games to this day. They could have just re released it and I’d have said you’re in for a treat, they absolutely hold up.

Dead Space (at least the original) was an extremely on rails experience - you progress thru chapters/stages in order, and there is no post game free roam or anything like that.

It’s a very different level of commitment than an rpg or open world.

Idk about the reboot but there was no chapter select. Some of the chapters had you revisit locations but you couldn’t freely go back where and when you wanted.

I've played DS1 and 3. Never played 2, just never got round to it. I loved the first one with it's claustrophobic horror feel where hideous monsters would burst out of vents and run towards you. DS3 is good, but in many parts you are running around open ground in broad daylight. It is not as atmospheric or immersive as the origional. Still worth a play though if you enjoyed 1 a lot, just has a different vibe and less "horror" themed.

It would be pretty cool to play it on an oled with dolby atmos, pretty sure I played them both on a console on a poop quality TV. Afraid I might actually have a heart attack if I play in the dark with surround sound cranked

After all the open world expansive games I've been playing, I won't mind a single player on the rails story game. Just super curious if they're gonna have a 40fps mode on console cuz that's my new jam

Yeah R2 and Village had me fuking nervous man, I had to play them in shorter bursts. Very taxing lol.

I'd say it's like the godfather trilogy where picking between 1/2 is preference and while the third one definitely is the worst one, it's not as bad as all the reviewers said and worth playing
