We had 3 Quiznos in my area growing up and I used to love their sandwiches, the bread was great it was toasted and not tough and they would melt the cheese slices slightly so it was warm and delicious. They had coupons sent in the mail every week and id use them.
Subway is disgusting with tough bread that is hard to chew and even had the P3do Jared scandal yet they are still booming.
I have no clue why Quiznos went out of business they had a good 5 year run where they were all over the airwaves, during basketball games, football, baseball commercials and then bam they started closing now there are only like 3 in southern california left.

Quiznos had the best tasting submarine sandwiches, why did they collapse?

i think because quiznos was expensive. Then again we have firehouse subs which is even more expensive.
who knows. subways sucks donkey balls.
Why did they get rid of Quiznos?
Quiznos had a bad business model, a tough competitor, a devastating recession and a leveraged buyout.

One of life’s tragedies. Easily the best chain sub place ever. All the others are terrible.
They charged too much to own a franchise, and then forced all the franchise owners to buy from the most expensive vendors possible that the execs had great money deals with. All the franchise owners realized real quick it was next to impossible to pay off the loan for what they paid for the franchise, or once they did with the crazy vendor costs it was basically working minimum wage.
They really screwed theirself and sadly there’s no come back. I miss the prime rib peppercorn, and their traditional.

Subway is horrendous, the bread is horrible tough and chewy you can't even enjoy it you can choke on that bread. I miss the Quiznos toasted bread and melted cheese, They were expensive but I only bought them when they mailed coupons in.
I think they also opened too many because they were popping up everywhere. Same thing with Krispy Kreme in California they were opening up like hot cakes, the three in my hometown closed down years ago, the only Krispy Kreme left is 5 cities away from me.

Subway is a disgusting sandwich cheap tough hard chewy bread, and then I remember when I stopped going is when the manager weighed the meat and took some off my sandwich wtf? they filled my sandwich with mostly lettuce and very little meat that was 6 years ago I never wen tto one again, 4 different subways did this and I had enough.
The only other sub sandwich joint I loved besides Quiznos was TOGO's, and they also collapses and have limited locations. Togos was so good too.

Great sandwiches, but I recall their customer service was absolute dogchit. Go to Subway for a cheap, bland sandwich, but at least you're not getting your sandwich made by uppity teenagers. At least the locations I went to it was like a night and day difference, almost as if hiring asswipe teenagers was part of their business model

I ate at Subway about a year ago and paid 12 dollars and some change for a poverty tier sub that used to be one of their 5 dollar footlongs. Never again.
I have a real Italian deli local to me that makes mind-blowingly good subs that cost like a few dollars more. The same pretty applies for pretty much any local hole in the wall sub joint. There is absolutely no reason to eat at Subway anymore.
