His story does seem plausible. If prosecutors bought it, what would that put him at on charges? Involuntary manslaughter? Also, it was in Mexico so not sure how that works out.

In my defense I read a different article that didn’t have all these details. I interpreted it as “he said he pushed her into shower and she hit her head”. Basically him admitting to causing her head trauma and then putting her to bed and then her dying later on in the night. That’s what I said seemed plausible. He’s still admitting guilt in that scenario.
This article reads that he’s denying any wrongdoing and she had bruises everywhere.
Either way he’s ****ed.

I still remember back in the day on sherdog when Phil went on tilt and wanted to fight like 5 posters in one thread, when mma was still small and there were fighters reading and posting there. He never seemed like the most stable guy in the world.

Sad, but not totally surprising. He never did seem mentally stable.
Steroid abuse + unstable violent douche is not a good recipe. Reminds of the “War Machine” guy who beat his ex-pornstar girlfriend to death, almost.

Most weren't in that era. Who would be involved in this sport in its infancy (generalizing I know)? I've met a few of the "legends" and they were clearly low IQ drug addicts. I mean, even the Gracie's back then were sketchy as hell. Our MMA club was shut down because of ties to the hells angels, the other one in our town shut down because of a drug bust on the owner (both guys came up through the ranks back in the day as friends but had a falling out. One was legit BJJ guy, other fought in ufc).Tobacco prostitute
