I know it's difficult to overtake but I feel like if Verstappen would have started from 20th he'd end up at least in 7th or 8th place or something instead of doing nothing like Perez.
Starting to dislike Monaco more every year though because it's all about the saturday.

Not sure what happened at the start but I assume there must've been a solid reason for Red Bull to bring him in that early? Without that stop I'd assume the strategy would be stay out and try to get into the top 10 within those first 50 rounds. After that first stop any chance of him doing something significant was basically over.

Definitely shouldn't be taken off the calendar but the sundays are often quite underwhelming in Monaco. A big problem of course is that the cars keep being better. Maybe in the 80s and 90s some overtakes would be possible while now there's not even enough space for the cars. Although Stroll seemed to be a bit slow in understanding that last part.

He used to be such a meme and the OG Dutch commentator used to always completely chit on him for every mistake he made. Then it feels like he's finally had a decent season without too many fukups to really stand out and he was being taken more serious. But then there's this season and he's just back to his old ways. His teammate is consistently getting podium finishes and he's just so far behind doing his old shenanigans again. He's definitely not gonna make it.
The story about the OG Dutch commentator is actually an interesting one to share, so I will share it. Story time boyos. He's been in the sport for like 3 decades now, every single time another channel bought the rights they took him along with them. He's one of two people in the world who has a "for life" press card that the F1-boss himself handed him over personally. With Max' rise obviously the popularity of the sport grew a ton. That last Abu Dhabi decider had 6 million live viewers, in a country with 17 million people that's insane. So what happened? Some greedy Scandivian fuks named Viaplay decided to buy the rights and put a younger and "more professional" commentary team that nobody liked.
Olav (the OG commentator) decided to buy the radio rights and do his live commentary there and promote his website so people could stream it live and sync it with the live feed. To nobody's surprise he got more listeners than the channel that actually has the broadcast rights. What was Viaplay's petty response? The next year (this one) they outbid him for the radio rights while not even having a radio show or anything radio related that does anything with F1. So Olav decided to turbomogg them and outsmart them once again. He bought the Belgian radio rights and continues to completely chit on them and get more live listeners during the races.

Jesus christ, that qualifying lap and 54 Laps out of medium tyres. When Max retires he will finish as the best to have ever done it.
What is Aston martins plan? They're never gonna challenge for the constructors with stroll as their 2nd driver. Daddy needs to buy a 2nd team to train new drivers (like williams/AT) and move stroll over thereFck u james

Seems like every race would be better if the cars were smaller tbh.
Easy to borrow wheelbase sizes from F2, and apply them to the F1 rule book. But it would take years of engineering prep from the teams to get there.
If I was running F1 right now, I'd shift the cars to F2 wheel base sizes, allow for refueling, and F2-style pitstops (1 mechanic per tire) to make the pits WAY more interesting... I also think banning radios would put a lot more pressure on the drivers to know WTF they're doing at all times.
This is getting ridiculous.... He's quickly becoming the new LATIFI.
It's true that his teammate is arguably the best driver on the grid right now, but Lance can't even make it into Q3, and Alonso is battling for pole.Spoiler alert; you die at the end.

Monaco is just different, and just about every other race this year lance has done good enough..... nothing spectacular tho.
Max crossed 2,000 laps led in this race, crazy.
Best quali, the shuffling at end of each session was insane! Can't believe after 2nd sector max was able to pull it off
Perez got screwed.... Was smart to pit right after the first lap. Got to pass 3 people and wouldn't have to pit again the rest of the race and had a clear track for 10-15 laps. Just got screw multiple times by being clipped by other people.
The penalty system clearly needs to be changed. Russel hits perez- Russel gets 5sec penalty while perez has to go pit which is a 19 second penalty + more if they have to change a wing.
Was surprised Lando/ Alanso would make such errors with their pit timing knowing rain was coming/ already on the track. As well as how piss poor the Ferrari's were at the end of the race. Went from fighting for 3-5 to basically being in no mans land for 6-8"I dont get paid on sundays, those are my fun days. I get paid for the other days" Ray Lewis

I feel like Aston Martin was expecting less rain, and Alonso has limitless confidence in doing whatever the fuk he needs to win, including driving slicks on a drenched track hoping it clears up enough to where he can MOG for the last 5 laps.... Wasn't quite the right call, but if he just did inter's the first time, the outcome would have been exactly the same.
Spoiler alert; you die at the end.

Very interesting qualifying, Leclerc out in Q1 with Sainz P2, Perez out in Q2 with Max on pole. Leclerc and Perez are both struggling a lot, Leclerc in particular looks a bit broken in interviews. I wonder if the rumors of a Ferrari driver reshuffle have merit.
Stroll faster than Alonso, tho Alonso damaged his car after an off.
Mercedes had similar qualifying pace to Mclaren and Alpine. Alpine and Mclaren have both stepped up and are looking quite fast. Apart from Max all the cars are really close now, should be some good battles tomorrow. Hoping for rain to spice things up."Governments don't want a population capable of critical thinking. I like almost doubling your money on Lewis. He's been making a good impression on this weekend and I think he can even take the second place from Sainz with a bit of luck. I don't know how easy it's going to be to overtake but the bookies seem to think it'll be easy because even a Perez podium is +130. I'd say it's hard to go wrong on betting on Lewis for podium.
If you're looking for more of a gamble on an outsider oddly enough I think Stroll could be a decent bet. Maybe Lando too.
Edit: Hulk is starting 8th with Perez, Alonso and Russell closely behind him and Leclerc who could end up passing him with a good race. It don't even like him for top 10.
