I played Cyberpunk on PS4 with 3 completions. During that time with maybe 160 hours over the 3 plays, I only experienced a few crashes. The biggest issue was driving a car deep in the city, sometimes it would have trouble keeping up and take a few seconds to load when I came to a stop after a long distance.

Still one of the best games I've played on PS4. Let the haters hate. The anime was great too, in case no one has seen it.

it was decent, good music, city looked great, cool weapons etc

but it was massively flawed even disregarding the bugs

i hated the story, the endless dialogue about nothing was painful at times

i'm on the fence whether i'll play the expansion

I bought it on release on PS4. It deserved all the hate it got on release. That said, I did enjoy it, but I eventually put it down to wait for some patches. Picked it back up early this year and was happy they fixed most of the issues. Soon after got a PS5, and of course the grachips and frame rate went up another notch. If it released in that state on launch, it wouldn't have had nearly the negative feedback it did.

On release I rated it a 7/10 on PS4. One of those games that are good, but have greater potential. After patches and updates I put it around 9 or so.

For people that attempted to play it in Dec 2020, the game was nearly impossible to enjoy. It's initial release was so catastrophic that it literally changed the degree of caution that other AAA studios have when planning December game releases (as we've seen with Horizon Forbidden West and Hogwarts).

February became the new December because of the well-deserved hate this game received.

Played a little of the trial on PS5, had a few glitches but liked it more than I thought I would, watching the netflux anima probably helped.

I liked the feel of the guns, the haptic triggers felt great, specially now that most shooters are a lot of hero/battle royale with water and bb guns.

To be fair, that's not why people hate it. IMO it's one of the best games this gen. People are more mad because of the lack of transparency with the old gen version of the game and the straight up fabrications about the games features. It's OK to be angry when someone straight up lies to you IMO, and I hope the response to that minimizes that kind of conduct in the future.

Still a fantastic game though, as evidenced by the continued sales and vocal defense the game has gotten.

From what I’m gathering, people are suspecting that it actually takes place at some point before the end of the game, since…

Johnny and V are both clearly in it and anyone who beat the game knows that it wouldn’t be possible for that to be the case if the events of the DLC happen after the end of the game.

Knowing CDPR, I’m sure they’ve figured out a good way to work the whole thing into whatever timeline they decided to go with.
