Dead srs.
If DeSantis doesn't run Biden will be elected for a second time.
These midterm elections have been brutal for Trump, and Trump doesn't realize people are tired of hearing about 2020.
If gachase enters this thread I'd like to he still prefers Drumpf.

In all seriousness, would now be a good time for Trump to just get behind DeSantis?

Desantis is better than Biden, but the real issues in the country won’t be touched. So it would ultimately just mean that we hand over additional control and power to the establishment. We might get better tax policy and a more secure border, however, to go with our endless corruption and weaponization of intel. Woohoo?

Trump shouldn't get behind him, as I don't think it's a net benefit. Get out of the way? Sure, that would help.
For DeSantis to win, he has to be seen as his own man, not somebody in Trump's shadow.
If Trump is involved in any way, shape or form with the next election, the media will make the election a referendum on Trump, instead of the actual candidate.Last edited by DuracellBunny; 12-07-2022 at 05:21 PM.

As far as answering your thread title, no I don’t think it would be a good idea at all.
From a pure strategic standpoint , they need to stay separated so the toxicity of one doesn’t encroach into the other from the voters mind.
DeSantis needs to stand on his own until the end - if he runs - he needs to avoid any discussion whatsoeve, positive or negative, about Trump.
Tump needs to do the same.Intelligent individuals learn from every thing and every one; average people, from their experiences. The stupid already have all the answers.

Desantis is fully supported by the RNC and establishment. He won’t trash trump, he will have his proxies do it for him.
Trump threatens the establishment and will be on is own- he will be doing the talking.
In the end, the RNC and dems will collectively work to eliminate trump all together through the legal process.

Yeah, on that, the Establishment isn't getting voted out regardless.
I'm fairly over Trump. He had some good ideas, the GOP loathed him, so I thought maybe he might buck the system, but he tried to work with them, was fooled, was corrupt, who knows. In any event, after the midterms it's clear, the GOP will tank itself to ensure Trump, or his allies, are not voted in.
Maybe if I had more faith in him and he was 20 years younger, I might think he could possibly work the system and push through an America first agenda but his time is running short and I can not trust a guy surrounded by Kushner, Bolton and about 15 other of his picks who were objectively terrible.
Desantis seems okay. Part of the establishment for sure, so he'll clean up some things and in other ways keep sucking the right dicks and giving the MIC what they want like they all do.All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Trump talked big about taxing hedge fund managers during the primaries in 2015. Fast forward to the general election and his largest donor was a hedge fund manager. After he wins the election he decides to hire that hedge fund manager's daughter to his transition team and forgot about taxing fund managers. I guess I'm wondering.... what's the difference between being the in pockets of the establishment and being in the pockets of wall street?

No, Trump keeps people engaged and interested. Also he acts as a shield for any potential candidate. So long as Trump is in the conversation the liberal media machine will keep the hit pieces and character assasination locked onto him. As soon as Trump drops out, or god forbid , endorse a candidate, they will change their focus. Best to keep them engaged withthe dynamic duo of Orange Man and Ye

I have my doubts that many GOP politicians are looking for an endorsement from Trump anymore.
I quickly glanced over an article on that this morning ~
