Keep in mind $15 in 2022 is about equivalent to like $9-10 pre-pandemic.

Peoples' brains still haven't caught up with inflation. Relative income and wealth has been completely decimated the last couple years, but many think it's fine because they see $15 and think its still a lot.

Jewelry, fancy cars, a pool, a nice house, expensive trips, fancy clothes, eating out, etc...The so called "good life" -- the picture perfect life everyone imagines the rich having. Have you ever met any rich people? They aren't actually particularly happy. They are obsessed with more or terrified of losing what they already have. Their days are spent "being productive", and they paradoxically have almost no freedom.

Ask any rich person when they were happiest. It's usually when they had jack chit and were in grad school or something. You'll see as you get older.

Find something you like to do. Find your role and place in society where you feel it is really what you were meant to do, and do that. And not everyone has the luxury of doing this. And if you can't, then it is natural to hate your life and your job because you have effectively been enslaved and coerced into signing your time and life away for someone else's dream rather than your own.

This is why I keep stressing that UN SDG goals should be pursued, and we should change the way we look at economy. It is more important to maximize QOL and a sense of well being than pure GDP. I don't expect the Amerikunt antivax uneducated neonazi rabble that posts here to understand this perspective though. Good luck.

that's pretty much it, people are coming to a crossroads and realizing this despite what they've been taught and it's shattered their mental state. it's increasingly an illusion and a pipe dream. say it even does come true and life becomes good. what are the chances that it is sustainable and doesn't come crashing down and you getting fuked in the process? you know how the saying goes sometimes, you'll feel more alone in a terrible relationship than you ever did being single.

from that standpoint it makes sense to opt for something different and go your own way, find your own calling and purpose in life. at the same time humans at the very biological level crave things like sex, meaningful relationships (esp with the opposite sex), etc. to procreate and form stable units (from family units to society at large) is a part of human DNA. very, very few people reach a point where their purpose and calling is truly beyond themselves and meaningful that is out of creating a family. very few people have accepted a life of celibacy and are okay with it because they feel they have a higher purpose.

i mean, maybe people should embrace a new carrot, but if everybody decides to go their own way and opts out of what is arguably engrained in us biologically, it's probably a net negative for society as a whole and the majority I think won't be able to cope with that. we're probably going to see a larger army of incels who are starved for sex and meaningful relationships shooting up schools and running over people in mack trucks n chit. at the same time, a relationship needs to be worth the squeeze, alot of people have been poisoned with liberalism and feminist ideologies preventing people from forming stable relationships and pair-bonding.
