    Pretty pathetic how most people can't bench 315 lbs after years of training

    I don't even look like I lift, and I'm close to that number.

    Meanwhile, gymbrahs be walking around the gym with imaginary lat syndrome while they struggle to bench 225 lbs for 3 reps.

    I'm 29 been training since high school I can't bench anywhere near 315

    Just don't have that amount of natural strength or build
    Nor have I ever attempted to bench that much

    Not entirely wrong. I only started benching like ~2 years ago. I was training primarily oly weightlifting & MMA prior to that. My best hang power clean is 315 lbs. I'm gonna guess 99.3% of the miscers can't hang power clean that weight.

    This is OG cope. There's no such thing. There is top tier 5% and then everyone else. Unless you have a specific genetic condition or deformity.

    Huh? By your logic, nobody cares about your bench, squat, and deadlift, either? I get WAY more attention hang power cleaning 3 plates in my local gym than dudes who bench a lot of weight. Even if people don't understand oly weightlifting, they intuitively understand it's way more impressive to power clean big weight vs benching big weight.

    315 was only my 1 rep max, also incline is generally harder than flat

    I was in university at the time and all we did was lift and I had those newb gains

    500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

    You admittedly don't look like you lift and you're bragging about 'almost' benching 315. Most people workout to look good. Not so they can put an arbitrary 1RM on the board. Anyone who denies this is probably lying to themselves. Furthermore if you care about how you look. Its literally retarded to do one rep maxes.


    Ask yourself the question. Would you rather bench 200lbs and have your ideal physique. The exact body you want. Or would you rather bench-press 400lbs for one rep?


    If the answer is 400X1 go on a power-lifting bench-press specific routine and dirty bulk and put on 150-200lbs of body-weight. You'll hit your envisioned four plate benchpress. But nobody will give a **** because you look like a bowling ball with arms and legs.
