So I live nearby a Panera bread. My job comps me 30 dollars a day in free food on grubhub, so I often order something there and pick it up for free (can just walk over).
Been grabbing their mango lemonade a lot and had no idea this thing was rocking 400mg of caffeine (which i believe is more than Bang Energy). Was legit getting addicted to them and now I know why.
Craziest thing is I see so many people filling up huge cups of it (some even doing refills). Saw one mom fill up a huge cup for her 7 year old (srs)! I think most the customers just think its random lemonade......
Has caffeine gone too far?

People used to never drink caffeine i remember like in 2011 it was rare to even see my friends drinking a soda and guess what everyone had natural energy all day
We're just in clown world now where people are turning to mindless consuming and drugs
Idk why though it's the opposite of the culture i remember where people wanted to go out and do stuffLast edited by eod8989; 12-04-2022 at 01:01 PM.

I don't get how it got like this where everyone needs caffeine and needs to look at screens all day everywhere i go people are just sitting there with their coffees/bangs and watching screens
I used to work with folks that would drink them every hour or two. It isn't normalPC specs

I agree OP. I’ve always said I blame bang for starting the ridiculous trend of 300 mg of caffeine… then all these pre workouts followed Bang and we see every pre workout with 300+ mg. Then a few months ago I went into Panera one day and saw these “charged lemonades” and I was thinking how crazy it is because people will come back for refills. That could be 600mg of caffeine+ that you’re consuming in Panera alone. Theses aren’t trends that we need to continue to normalize. 200-300mg a day of caffeine should be the max for people. Now many are doing 300 at one time, multiple times a day.
The average person is a complete fuking idiot so they don’t understand what they are doing. It’s like when people do those “salt challenges” where they feed someone a spoonful of salt below a bite of food and have no clue that they could literally kill them right there."Even through the darkest days, this fire burns, always."

10 years ago i legit didn't know anyone that was consuming caffeine regularly lol. On occasion sure but it wasn't like this. I'm trying to quit myself but it's impossible since it's so engrained in the culture. If it isn't caffeine it's vaping and smoking which i don't understand either. Been there and done that dude.
