If i remember correctly, they replaced the server in 2010 or so. Thats pretty old for a server. Could be a power suply or hard drive going out. Plus its probably Windows Server 2008 so no longer under support, no patches etc.

The site is down a lot plus each section is full of spam/scam posts. I haven't seen a mod for a while.

I also want to throw in my appreciation for Suffolk. Great advices consistently and I don't think there's been a single other mod active here since I joined over three years ago. Pretty sure they don't get paid, either, so that's a lot of work to stem from altruism.

It made me ask myself how many phishing posts he had to have been deleting every day.

I was the #2 most popular poster in a real estate forum until yesterday. Then I got banned. I asked this question to have someone help me run some properties near Waxahachie Texas.

I've got a few rentals near Waxahachie TX where there is a rail, truck and pipeline hub. Need a co-host. It's about 12 minutes south of Suckapeepee Texas and a hair north of Lickahoohoo Texas. The town is Waxacoochie. Mainly need someone to keep the lawn clean and keep the guests coming.

I used to play on online multiplayer game. I can’t even remember what it was but if you could get 5 people to vote on somebody that wasn’t doing their part it would temporarily block them from playing, with the time going up each time. Would be pretty simple to make a system like that where 5 people can vote to ban someone.

I wouldn't consider participation here to be a "relationship" that would require "leaving" or planning to do so ahead of time. Other than people who live vicariously through the misc, I'm sure most folks will go on with life pretty much as normal if the forums get overrun or the lights go out permanently one day.

Yeah, but any of the 15 or so people who have spent more than 20 minutes of their day routinely here for years would still feel somewhat remiss. I'd mostly just be concerned about losing my training log but that's still not the end of the world.
