Back door deals in the US and with foreign govts are typically die through proxies (see hunter Biden holding 10% for the big guy). That will never show up on Biden’s tax return.

In the US, it often involves lucrative business deals (once outside of the govt) or book contracts worth millions for a book that will never sniff that level of revenue.
