With the next gen upgrade hitting PS5/Series x and PC on December 14, figure some of us (well me for one) are gonna be replaying one of the goat experiences and games from last gen.
I finished Witcher 3 in 2016 with the base game and DLC. Throughout the years I've tried replaying it a couple times, but each time I lose interest about an hour or so because that one experience was beyond epic for me so starting an entire new game was quite difficulty and there were just too many games to play, but SEVEN years later seems like the perfect time to replay the game with the graphical upgrades.
Jesus fuk I cant believe Witcher was 7 years ago.
Anyway I've started my playthrough because I couldnt wait anylonger
Going with a mixed build this time and definitely paying more attention to decoctions, which I hardly used in my first playthrough.
Definitely going:
Cat school because it was just fun being a spinning whirlwind of death
Gonna buff up the cat school chit even more with decoctions
Just reached Novigrad at level 13 to search for Triss. Definitely gonna have to pace my time since I dont want get too far ahead before the upgrade drops lol.

I was reading the books, it's pretty cool, but the short story format was kinda off-putting for me .. I should get back and finish it properly thoughh. I'm still reading the first book and I'm halfway in it. Netflix adaptation is decent, I'm enjoying it and I think it's entertaining enough + Cavill does a beastly job as Geralt imo.
One of the biggest things I appreciate with Witcher 3 and games like God of War, Mass Effect is how it drops you into a setting that is just oozing with atmosphere and begging to be explored further as you keep uncovering more of the lore and story behind it. It really is one of those games you can lose hours in because you do feel like you're exploring a brand new world that's unlike anything that's been told in media.Sig line can't be a novel

Lmfao ... You monster. What ending did you get?
I had the "best" bittersweet ending ... My Ciri decided to be queen but was still chill with Geralt, in the end her becoming queen was the best thing for the realm. She still visited me in Toussaint though, so pretty good stuff.Sig line can't be a novel

Beat on Xbox originally because that’s all I had in 2015. Beat again on PS4 pro when I finally got one of those and beat again with some mods on PC when I finally built one lol. They’re integrating some mods I used for this official release.
I even own on Switch but only played like 30 min for the novelty.
Got the best ending my first playthrough and didn’t have the balls to switch it up on my 2nd and 3rd playthrough. Ciri always a Witcher in my mind.
Best western style RPG ever released IMO. Will def check this out, though I don’t know about a 4th playthrough. I could be tempted though.
Game + both DLCs regularly like 10 bucks if you’ve never played.SCC - Redskins - Wizards

I would have been happy with 1440p and 60fps.
Love the game but I cringe thinking of that clunky 30fps with a bunch of input lag. I expect and hope this feels much more responsive. Console users are the real winners of this patch.
Think I'm gonna fire it up before the patch just to remember how it once looked and then I'll update and mire the overhaul. Part of me wants to try a sign build with the new quick cast, chit might be sick but I'm feline school master race.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Going for my third playthrough once the patch comes out. Perfect game to enjoy winter and sip a beer to.
I did third difficulty my second playthrough and it was too easy, everything I learned from the first playthrough made it so. I want the next go around to be more challenging but the fourth difficulty is such a jump compared to 2->3 I can't help but feel it will turn the game into a chore.

Witcher 3 was a great game. I'm not sure I would play it again though as there are so many other games I want to play as well. When I play a game I kinda get a bit OCD on the achievements, doing all the side quests and stories and before you know it I've been stuck on a game for 2+ months.

I'm currently replaying the witcher 2 for the first time in about 10 years, in preparation.
Love the story as always but man this game is badly designed and becomes a slog as a result. No quick travel is aids and I've been running back and forth through vergen for hours doing quests.
Oh well witcher 3 will seem amazing again after this lol.
