Weighted Push Up's .... Is Core Training still needed?

For those of you that do a lot of compound movements.

    I do:

    Deadlifts
Weighted Push Up's using a Kensui Max Plate Loaded Vest
    Weighted Dips
    Weighted Pull Up's
    Standing and Seated OHP

All using progressive overload and my core feels sore.

Do I need to waste time on direct ab training?

Anything from bent knee leg raises to squats would help.

If your form is rock solid on the push-ups and presses, you should be good. If you notice some technique issues (e.g. sagging back), it's worth looking into.

Hanging leg raises have a lot of hidden benefits from shoulder health to fixing posture to spinal decompression. I'd add those if you have a pull up bar.

I'm guilty of that sh*t too, waiting for somebody to powder my nuts cuz I did 20 reps of whatever the **** on the bench. Big f*king deal. It is all relative." G Diesel
