We literally live more of our lives through our phones than in real life.

For me even though I have two phones, the most time I spend on it is when I video call my friends or make a phone call to my class advisor. Some days it's just checking when a mail or text notification comes through and others no more than 10-20 minutes total and some none at all. Can't imagine spending 7 hours on a phone daily. Computer on the other hand, every day all day.

Yeah it’s a collective addiction.
I’m on my phone all day and I’m disgusted by it. Sometimes I want to just chuck it in a lake and be free.
I’m no TV crew though and no PC or iPad etc. Just phone and laptop so I’m down to two devices. I hate electronics really. Would love to eventually just be laptop only.

You think people spent the same amount of time reading newspapers, writing letters, or looking up directions each day 20 years ago as they do now on their smartphones?
Even if they did, which they don't, it doesn't compare to the cancer they view on tik tok, ********, instigram, and twitter
I envy your ignorance if you think so.

PC is a personal computer and a laptop is just that, a personal computer. What you mean to say is that you only have a laptop and not a desktop, so you do have a PC. What do you even spend your time doing on the phone to be on it all day anyways? Unless you're a high end stock trader, running a business or the like, I don't see why any average person would be glued to it.

Every year I take the equivalent of a 3 months detox from online anything, and go full monk mode. It's not always consecutive, but the longest I've gone was 120 days.
I plug out everything and lock away my laptop, pc, ipad, no phone and anything else that keeps me plugged in and hyper aware of the outside world. I don't listen to music or watch anything.
Living in a rural, woodsy area makes it easier.
I read, meditate, camp, walk the local trails, explore the woods, draw, paint, swim, do wood work, journal/write down ideas, play instruments, teach myself new skills, calligraphy, origami <---I mean I already do those things daily, but it becomes full time activities when I'm not online. Typically, I'll fast too.
After this period, you legit feel like a different person and have a fresh perspective on a lot of things.it's better to suck dink than to be killed

I sleep on hardwood floors all the time. It did wonders for my posture and core strength. I LOVE a good comfy bed, but holee chitt sleeping on the floor was a blessing in disguise.
No fap is hardest during that time of the month, because my libido typically goes through the roof, but if you have enough ideal distractions it becomes easier.
I also forgot to add I literally do not speak to anyone during that period. If you want to reach me you got to know my address and send me snail mail. I love writing hand written letters.
I would suggest everyone try to at least go 1-3 days per month without online related stuff. I know it's hard for most people because they have families, and spouses, but you'll feel a lot better.it's better to suck dink than to be killed

WRONG. back then you had ogrish and other gore sites. i am not clueless, back then you had parental controls that could block that **** out. ppl just didnt bother buying them. now a lot of them come standard if you actaully looked around in the settings. its pretty easy to control what your kids/people are looking at. every device now comes with parental controls/filters - its standard.

To add to the discussion above, I kinda agree with both takes above. Though, I personally feel as though it is very effortless to find gore and porn online and it's FREE for the most part. They have whole forums dedicated to gore and people enduring unimaginable torture. I've complained about this before that it's funny to me how Big Tech/Shadow Government has censored a lot of the fringe, obscure, and niche sites, but gore and porn are still thriving.
I recall when I was in Catholic Junior High School all the kids were talking about ogrish, rotten, and all those shock fetish porn websites, especially the Japanese ones, where the women were raping Octopods and inserting bad things in themselves.
The internet is more sanitized, but not in the way many think...
Back in 2018 on another forum I post on someone linked to this really disturbing forum where people get their kicks off gore, where this user was posting pics of himself in the morgue of a children's hospital, and he posted pictures of him playing with the kid's bodies. Not in a sexually molesting way, but more like mocking, propping their bodies up in unusual ways.
He's a mortician, and takes really disturbing photographs of sick, terminally ill, and deceased children, while he's masked, and posts them on some underground gorehound forums. He squishes their faces and body parts into strange positions for his personal amusement.
A lot of people on said forum were pissed, and this place attracts the lowest of the low. Someone tried to call various children's hospitals in california to find the guy and get him removed and/or charged.it's better to suck dink than to be killed

Desensitization to violence and pornagrphy does play a role. Take for example, this case, albeit this is not a school shooting incident, but a story of a broken man who was a sexually deviant and porn addict, and lured a journalist who wanted to do a story on him, into his submarine to kill her.
The prosecution said that police had found videos on Madsen's computer showing women being murdered,[27] and that witnesses said that they had seen Madsen watching videos of decapitation and practising asphyxiation sex.[26] Prosecutor Jakob Buch-Jepsen told the court that no traces of Madsen's DNA had been found on Wall's body but said: "... traces of semen have been found in the underpants which were secured from Peter Madsen after the arrest". Under questioning, Madsen denied ejaculating while he was with Wall.[28]

However some mass shootings and serial killers are a result of Cointelpro/PSYOPs/MK ULtra and Crisis Acting in SOME, but not all cases.it's better to suck dink than to be killed

Average Canadian watches 100k hours of tv, it sounds like a lot but not so crazy
6 per day every day for 40+ years or 3 per day for 80+ years
I love when I bring 20+ books to starbucks and everyone just has to watch me read while they mindlessly scroll their iphones.
I get normies, but the worst thing I see is couples and families ignoring each other, wtf is the point of being together then?
