sucks for Jiri, looked forward to see him fighting again but it looks like he won't do so for another year. respect to him for vacating the belt instead of holding up the division. i guess unofficially we'll look at his future fights as if he is the one defending the belt.

And he would be able to....... given he has a full camp. Which he offered the UFC, but they are stuck trying to salvage the PPV.
Glover is a former champ, legend, and only has a couple fights left in him. Declining the fight puts him in a great position to fight the winner. Let the young guys trying to break through be the ones to take that huge risk of totally switching opponents / styles at the last minute, and possibly be their only shot of fighting for a title.
Props to him for being a PROFESSIONAL, and doing what's best for his career.
