    Tire punctures

I swear to Christ men, I get a puncture about once a quarter..

Is this normal? It fukin pisses me off and I don’t know what the deal is?!

I’ve always had low profile tires, so not sure if that’s it, or what?

Just curious to see what you guys have to say..

make sure you buy the roadhazard warranty with new tires - worth the $15-30. But yeah I feel like that too. My Audi needed a tire a week ago - new tire was $450 or so. Luckily had a spare in the garage and they just mounted that.

In my experience, they try to blame me.. try not destroying the inside of a 35 series going down the freeway when it goes flat.. always fuking up the sidewall or whatever..

It’s just obnoxious af because I typically ride on Michelin or pirelli and they’re expensive af!

That definitely could be part of it.. Washington state doesn’t put much into cleaning the freeways (I commute most days) and the local municipality isn’t much better.. I do drive through the port, so it’s ducking tradie central down there lol!

I have a new tire that has a nail in it.

It goes flat everymorning. I've been airing it up every morning for the past 3 weeks. The thing is, you can't patch it because the nail is on the shoulders(its patchable but can fail very soon).

The next time I get new tires, i'm getting the insurance on it.

I’ve been there my fair share of times bro.. I’m fortunate that the last one I caught was right in the center of the tread and was patchable..

this is why I drive a truck now (srs)

used to have a BMW with 20" wheels and low profile tires, had three incidents in two years where I either punctured a tire or cracked a wheel on a pothole or some chit. Decided no more and now I'm rolling on 35" mud tires (srs)

yeah low profiles suck, have gotten 4 flats or nails in 5 years. I had an econobox with cheaper standard size tires for 10 years and think i had maybe one nail in it. Plus the tires were $60 instead of $200. It sucks they put low profiles on everything now, you dont need low profiles on a camry or accord, its stupid.

I have been lucky and haven't ran over a nail or anything in a few years, but I have some bubbles about the size of a golf ball on the sidewall of one of my winter tires. I put it on the rear of my fwd car. I should replace it, but I've been chancing it for 2 winters now. Plus I'm just going to drill one of these potholes full of melted snow that become near invisible.
