I'm really into cars, but unfortunately live in Kansas City where there is nowhere to really use a sports car (asides from a couple tracks). I could buy a sports car, but it would be kind of a waste living here. There are some cities, though, where I think owning a sports car would be a great idea (for somebody who loves driving twisty mountain roads on the weekends).
Top criteria to me:
Fun twisty roads nearby with lots of natural beauty (areas with good mountains generally have this)
Warm enough to not salt the roads in the winter
Best driving cities/areas:
SoCal/LA/Orange County for perfect weather and canyon roads
Hawaii for perfect weather and beautiful mountain roads (just expensive)
Northern GA/Atlanta due to proximity to mountain roads, and Tail of the Dragon is only ~3 hours from the city
What would be your top picks brahs?

I think where ever you live you're bound to find local car enthusiasts who know where the fun local roads are. California, or socal in general just can't be beat in this regard.
Utah is also great; the drive from monument valley to goblin valley on route 95 is shockingly scenic. The roads and parks near Moab are stunning.
The long drive from Yellowstone NP to Glacier NP(going to the sun rd.) via beartooth hwy then up north to Banff/Jasper NP in Canada is also very scenic.
The road to Hana in Maui was terrible though. 10 hours of crappy narrow roads, dodging oncoming traffic, and hundreds of turns was not worth the views and waterfalls.
The highway to key west from florida was also very ugly and not scenic at all.

I used to live in KC on the Missouri side.
In the summers I used to rent sports cars.....(back in 2014) you could rent a Mustang GT, Camaro SS or Challenger R/T Manual for like $80/day from the airport and I would just spend the WHOLE Weekend fukking around in the West Bottoms. At that time there was never anybody there on the weekends and never any cops. I would just hoon that whole part of town.

I really like Northern California southern oregon. Hwy 199 Hwy 96, 101 north or Eureka, Hwy 166, Hwy 140, Hwy 395 north of Reno. Though the roads are pretty treacheraous this time of year due to ice and snow.
Though to be honest, I'm sure there are lesser known back roads and hwys in the mountains like these all over the country
In my neck of the woods there's a road called skaggs springs road. It is one of the more hardcore motorcycle routes in the area. They used to use the road to test the prototype cars with the camo or canvas wraps but have stopped. Rumor is they stopped because 1. An accident, driver drove off a cliff. 2. Too many were aware the road was being used for testing resulting in too many spy photos of new model cars.

The 2nd time I rented a car, the Challenger RT Manual in January.....on the way to pick it up, started snowing and I was like I am NOT canceling this....so picked it up...drove back to my apartment in the River Market (Market Station), waited for the snow to stop then headed out....
Long story short I went to pick up a gal friend at the time to join in the hooning.....after about 45 minutes in the West Bottoms, still snow all over the roads....I get on that bridge to head back up to the Missouri side and it's snow free so I nail it...shift from 2nd to 3rd around 75 and the rear breakes loose. She freaks out, I see our lives flash before my eyes, I recover with no issue.....and the whole way back to her place she's going nuts. "You almost killed us, You're crazy, I cant believe I thought this was a good idea, take me home now!" blah blah.....I was just laughing the whole time.
Dropped her off and went back out.
