It may be so in those states where abortion is either outright banned or is banned after a certain time. You could make the argument that where abortion happens under those circumstances it can be considered murder but this would depend on individual statutes, and I've never argued otherwise. But when a legal abortion happens it's not murder, which has been my argument all along. The key words in my argument are "legal abortion".

National ban at 16 weeks, which is actually a very liberal stance compared to world standards. There are only 2 European countries that allow for abortions after 16 weeks. Anything later and you are quickly approaching the age of viability… seems like bad practice to kill babies that could otherwise survive?
I think the main issue is that the public is dumb and has no idea what the Supreme Court ruling meant and the msm is happy to echo anything that will help democrats.

I think we're stuck at the reactionary phase. From a voter's perspective, the issue with the 16 week national ban is that it limits abortion but does it provide any protection for abortion? Meaning if states can still ban all abortions then it just limits it without providing any protection. That could happen some day but it's quite early to say that we'll kick it to the states... except will regulate it first.
A compromise would be if abortions over 16 weeks were banned and under 16 weeks were protected.YOU ARE NOT A SLAVE

My original post ITT was:
Strong knowledge here.
A legal abortion is a legal killing and therefore cannot objectively be considered murder. But, by all means, continue to let your feels get in the way of reality.

Of course it is. Evangelical dinosaurs telling women they have to undergo birth against their will is always going to go down like a lead balloon in the 21st Century.
There were probably a decent number of politically apathetic people who came out to vote just for this. Although the Republicans have loads of other problems which make them unelectable in the long run.Misc Crypto Crew

I can easily justify abortion:
Banning abortion:
- leads to children who are unwanted and will likely be raised in less than ideal conditions (cannot be properly be supported by parents)
- leads to an increase in crime due to people being poorly raised
- leads to an increase in the cost of social services to pay for children whose parents cannot afford them, thereby increasing taxes747 Driver

Abortion is one of those issues where I truly hate being a moderate. So many of you on the right were applauding the overturning of Roe vs Wade, and now you're all bitching about the midterm election results?
You literally gave the left a rallying call for women to go out there and vote for the Democratic candidate.

Killing people is a crime until someone says it's legal.
How many babies have been aborted since RvW?
How does the reduction in murder compare?
It's not just babies, it's time.
I wish I could say that you are killing ideas when you kill the unborn but I don't believe ideas have owners.
If the person that created and/or popularized the waterskin was somehow aborted then another person would eventually invent and/or popularize the waterskin but the payment is time.I: Self, Lord and Master.
