I had always thought if Bill Lee lost that Kane would run for governor in next election.
If Bill is staying this frees up Jacobs to get tapped by Trump as his running mate though, so that's good.
If it's not Kane then maybe Trump tamps Rand Paul and then Paul taps Kane in 2028.

Paul won't get close to the presidency. He's not great in debates and unfortunately a lot of people base their vote on debate performance instead of actual policy positions.
