Well, if you want to PM me the particulars of your registration attempts (username and email address), I'll try reaching out to exodus-strength forum administration and ask them to look into it for you.
If nothing else: I'm sure they'll want to hear about potential new members experiencing trouble registering an account.

That's unfortunate
Despite the short time I've been here and the limited interaction I've had with those of you who've been here a while, still I'd hate to lose y'all. That's why I was considering going to the trouble of firing-up a new forum. But Exodus Strength looks good enough for me, so I see no point.

I have the same problem. I never got the registration e-mail. I could register again with a different e-mail address, but the effort is not worth it. Exodus just makes it too difficult to join. Their loss.
I have all the equipment I want currently and no more room for anything else. So I rarely visit here.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

To clarify, the reason I visit here is (was) for the members. The equipment crew and the other various crews are filled with some great people. It was nice to keep in touch and see what everyone was up to. The equipment forum seemed to peak about 5 to 7 years ago. Those were good days. I am sad to see those days end.

Know what you mean though, unless you are constantly buying/selling equipment it's hard to have a 'reason' to keep posting. I'm a lunatic though so I doubt I'll ever stop buying/selling equipment, as long as insane deals keep falling in my lap I'll keep swapping stuff out. Adds a little variation to the routine and keeps things interesting.

An update on the Exodus registration process - Michiganian kindly started up a thread there regarding this issue and the team there is aware of the issue and working on it.
Thread Link: https://www.exodus-strength.com/foru...pic.php?t=4560
They believe that the issue causing emails not to be sent has been resolved. Just be aware that it's still very possible/likely that the confirmation email will go into your spam folder.
So for those of you that were not getting the confirmation emails, I would try again. The Flywheel Effect - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=172103043

I've been on Exodus Strength for two weeks, now.
I've commented in two or three existing threads, started two threads asking questions about equipment ponders, and posted two questions/issues to their "Requests and Issues" forum.
I've received nothing but respectful and useful responses to every comment or post. (Ok, a little bit of light-hearted snarkiness to one thing, from a couple posters, but, it wasn't nastiness.)
Forum administration is responsive and actually addresses concerns! Imagine that.
At this point I feel pretty good recommending that, if you're looking for somewhere to go because you either find bb.com's forums all but unusable or expect their eventual demise, Exodus Strength's forums would be a good bet.
For those who've tried to register and failed to get an confirmation email: Please try again and let me know. If nothing else: You'll be helping Exodus Strength's forum admins know if the problem has been resolved. Thanks!

I guess this is now the universal thread so I'll ask here: any strong thoughts on the Prime Leg Press (hybrid version)? I've used it a few times briefly but never for a hard workout. I have an opportunity to pick one up but can't decide it makes sense. I have a Medx (selectorized) leg press and a Hammer MTS Isolateral Squat press already but the Prime looks like it might be a lot more compact and I could repurpose the space from the others.
Is there value I'm missing in the adjustable resistance profile? I"d just think on a leg press you want a load curve that increases at the top, can't see a case where you'd really want to overload the bottom or even the middle but maybe I"m short sighted here?

Yeah weird decrease in spam but no matter what, I think a lot of regulars have moved on.
It definitely isn't as good for lengthy discussion threads but the Facebook group "Hardcore Home Gyms - Bodybuilding & Powerlifting" is better than I expected and has some serious, commercial equipment oriented folks.

Not near as I can tell. There's currently 2½ pages of fresh Chinese spam in Equipment. This is what I've seen, more often than not, whenever I've checked.
I don't qualify as a "regular," but, I have. I still check in here, but, most of my activity now is on exodus-strength.
Don't have a Facebook account. I regard Meta as quite possibly the most evil of the Big Tech companies in existence.

I am seeing the exact opposite here. I check my saved searches daily and the number of ads is low. If I wanted to replicate my gym now, I would have trouble finding the equipment, let alone at the good prices I paid. For example, the few ads I see for weights are at around 1.50 to $2 per lb, and that is for Fitness Gear quality plates.

I suspect the market is region-specific.
When I started building my home gym I first resorted to FB Marketplace and Craig's List. I did luck-out on a Concept2 rower and a Body-Solid back hyperextension bench. But plates, bars, benches, functional trainers, racks, etc.? Mostly low- to mid-grade home gym stuff, or really banged-up higher-end stuff, much of it for more money than I was willing to spend for what they were.
I gave it a few weeks and gave up. Bought bench, bars, and plates new. Most on "Black Friday" sales. I'll be buying my functional trainer and squat rack new, too. Just ordered a belt and a strap for facilitating Nordic curls.
But I'm more than a little OCD about the condition, both functional and cosmetic, of my "stuff." E.g.: The rower, despite being a Model D and several years old, had a very low odometer reading and was nearly indistinguishable from new. The back hyper bench had a couple chips out of the paint, but, by all accounts, people often receive brand new Body-Solid stuff with paint defects like that. Other than that, it, also, was like new.

Definitely the case in my area! Seeing lots of gym equipment for sale, mix of overpriced stuff but there are deals to be had. I've seen numerous belt squat machines, quality racks, and decent priced weights that I would have scooped up in the past. Even saw a pair of Berg 45lb bumpers the other day going for a decent price, but I was too lazy to go get them LOL
