Somewhat luxurious
Spacious (can throw some dirty stuff in the back)
Peppy
Reasonably fuel efficient
Good highway cruiser
Not fully electric
Not extremely common/boring
Extremely reliable
Something with 2 rows and a large back would be great. Like a nicer Passport. Would also do a wagon or hot hatch.
Also it needs to be NOT in the first model year.
Budget is $70k.
I looked at the MDX but it gets like 20 mpg. I find the RDX extremely ugly.
Looked at the X5 but adding on basic options moved the price too high.
Cayenne was too much.
Macan is feminine.
RX is in the first model year.
Range Rover Velar is an option. Reliable though?

I was interested in the velar for 2 seconds until I went into LR and saw it in person. Do not go RR unless Sport/Full size.
Check out a newer Lincoln Navigator.. I was walking around a Jeep/Dodge dealership lot and saw a used one from 2017 and was shocked at how nice the interior was.USMC 0311

Macan is feminine but the Velar isn't? I've never seen a man drive a Velar before.
Either way 70k is too little for what you want. You'll need at least 85k (without any tax breaks or something considered). And then your answer would be an X5 50e with at least an M-pack.
Or shop American and get something like an XT6 and go balls to the wall with it. Or shop used, but cars like an X5 will probably be almost as expensive near new as actually new.Permanent reminder that MBisonSon is a fgt => https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=181456073

X5 45e take the 7500 tax rebate and it'll put you pretty close to your budget. Has 3-years of covered maintenance so factor that benefit in.
