When im dieting, I sometimes want to eat junk food like burger, ice cream, and cookies everyday.
Can I do this and loose weight aslong as im still at a calorie deficit?
Im mostly talking about weight loss, and not my health.

Technically you could but practically it usually doesn't work out. If you're in a deficit eating whole foods will keep you satiated and able to adhere to your diet. Eating junk won't do that and you end up hungry not to mention missing out on vital micronutrients, fiber, etc.
A little something here and there should be fine though.

I'm taking an appetite suppressant (Mounjaro), so I dont think ill have the issue you mentioned?
The medication lasts in your system for a week, but on day 5, some hunger comes back!
Which is why I ate a burger and ice cream, but I made sure I was on a calorie deficit.
I wasnt sure if I should feel guilty or not, so I wanted to know that ill be fine if I eat bad, aslong as I eat on a calorie deficit.Last edited by fays12; 10-22-2022 at 09:09 PM.

Sport without fanaticism is a good sport. It is a healthy way of life, and it gives the necessary benefits to a person. If you do sports, you can noticeably improve your health if you follow certain rules. But what about vitamin supplements? I eat a lot of them, but I limit myself in food, minimum of calories...

Yes you can eat whatever you want, however if you consume too much sugar you can become diabetic or if you consume too much unhealthy fat you will rise up your cholasterol and feel slugish. Your best bet is to stay eating healthy foods most of the time and eat junk food occasionaly. I eat like 3-4 junk meals in a week during my bulking phase. I'd pick junk food like burgers over sugar tho, alteast burgers have a good amount of protein.

You're right and those people are wrong.
Those people sound totally clueless. It just seems like they go by whatever trendy diets their friends, coworkers or aunts talk about, but don't really understand nutrition from a scientific standpoint.
You don't have to convince them. You just keep doing the calories/macros and succeeding, and you can show them the results once you're in equal or better shape than them.

Theoretically, yes. If you are in a calorie deficit, meaning you are consuming fewer calories than you are burning, then you can theoretically eat whatever you want and still lose weight. However, this is not always recommended. If you're going to eat anything then have a period in a month where consume anything and then another for eating foods that are more nutrient-dense than others, meaning they have more vitamins, minerals, and fiber per calorie.
