Winter is by far my favorite season, I will definitely be rolling up the old sleeve and taking the jab. Not because I am afraid of the flu, more because i don't want to miss any ice fishing time or feeling miserable while I am fishing. (I fish almost every day)
Any horror stories from the flu shot? I don't have any, the most I have felt was feeling off for a few hours.

Please pancakes, the last time I had the slightest runny nose and sore throat was age 32. I weighed 160# because i was broke and eating only PB and pasta salad for about a year.
I’ve never had a flu shot.

Yes, let’s get the flu vaccine that they literally had to guess 1 to 2 years ago which flu variant it’s going to be. That makes perfect sense to me. The government is always correct.

1) I never get the regular flu vax.
2) At my last medical checkup, my doctor didn't even mention giving me a second covid booster.
3) My doctor told me that he didn't administer the Shingrix vax and I would have to go to a pharmacy to get it.
4) My business partner just texted me that he has covid......for the third time.

If I get the flu, it is violent vomiting for hours next to a toilet hoping for a quick death...just like with food poisoning.
Thus, been getting a flu shot every year for longer than I can remember. Haven't had the violent puking since. Worth it for me at least.

Spleen was removed after a car accident 40 years ago, as a result my immune system is compromised so I get a flu shot every year. Sure it's a gamble as to whether or not they guessed right on the strain but it has never hurt or bothered me in the least bit getting the vaccine.

Getting it Friday, I like to do it on shoulder day with a good pump, I'll be giving the pharmacist the "how you doin'" eye when I roll up my sleeve. Never had any side effects.
One year I got the shot and no one else in the house did, they all got the flu and I had to take care of everyone. Puking, fever, chills, boxes and boxes of dirty kleenex, I dealt with all of it and never got a sniffle.Originally Posted by papi93

Had a flu shot about 2 weeks ago, it cost me equivalent to 17 of your capitalists dollars. No adverse reaction. More about because I want to reduce the chances of bringing flu home than for my own benefit as I've never had flu in my life (to my knowledge). Anyway getting a jab gives my immune system a workout.
Edit it was 29th September, longer ago than I realised...
