Do they wake up every morning feeling defeated?
Do they come to work hopeless, as if in the bondage of slavery, with no vision or energy to escape?
Do they go about their days an exhausted, unfulfilled shell of the once happy spirit which inhabited their broken bodies?
Do they loath the unfulfilling lives they lead, but lack the means to make a difference?
Do they contemplate the rope or drown in sorrow at their wasted potential?
Do they truly accept wasting their once in eternity existence in this cycle of work?
They seem so alive.
Is it all a front?
Or do they feel the same as I?

Sometimes I look at my coworkers and wonder if they feel the same...

There are people that walked to work today through tiger/cobra infested territory to a foundry in which they will break their body for 16 hours with no safety.....
...but here in western society we are deflated to go sit in an office building, sipping on a Starbucks and misc during our free time.
Work has sucked since the dawn of time and the day its stops sucking will be the day we are no longer useful as a species.

It's brutal I just try to put my head down and do my job but constantly have to dodge drama. Funny thing is I barely see anyone else working just gossiping and making problems out of nothing.

Nah there are plenty of people who don't do anything terribly meaningful with their lives so they take all pride in filing TPS reports and scheduling meetings, and having an inflated aense if purpose and importance with their pencil pushing and wage cuckings.
It's not too different from limpdicks getting up their own ass when they the get to play moderator on some online platform

I’m happy to have income as it is necessary to function in our society, but employment? No. There are so many other things that could give me purpose.
It’s pathetic. I’m barely past go and already feeling burnt out. I don’t understand how people just settle for this their entire lives. If I dropped dead tomorrow I would regret what I did today.
EOD is a pretty wise man srs.

This
I'm not getting the updates or something I used to like working back when it was about work but something has changed in the workplaces since the day covid hit and I'm having trouble navigating it. My mind is telling me to opt out but I need something to do and the money srs
BTW i don't hate my job, I just notice something has fundamentally changed and it doesn't even feel like work anymore. Work used to feel like work not a social club where 10% of the employees are doing all the work.PC specs

Many people say this, but what’s mind blowing is how many would actually choose to still work. I always hear boomers say “if I retired I would have nothing to do.” So they work until death.
I don’t understand this mentality at all. If I didn’t have work, I wouldn’t be able to fill the hours with the amount of hobbies I would pick up. Reading books, writing music, learning new languages, traveling extensively, urban exploration, photography, starting a YouTube channel, hiking, long distance bike riding, MMA/boxing training, carpentry projects, 3D printing and brewing are just a few ideas that come to mind which I would enjoy committing to. I could fill 5 lifetimes with my interests.
When people claim they can’t retire because they’d be bored, I can’t help but lol. It’s just cope from having your spirit crushed over 40 years of working.
