to be fair, Russia has in the past claimed to not be withdrawing yet they did. We just have to wait and see. Where the plant is at is on the wrong side of the river, so it is not against the current Russian action of withdrawing to more easily defended ground.

I saw the labor union there accepted integration into the territory. I suppose they could be physically removed under some condition to stop shelling but I don't see Russia leaving the banks to stop advancement/crossing. That 30mm has produced some nasty footage from attempted crossing

Russian losses are insane in Bakhmut. There are so many videos of russians getting killed, I've never seen such an abundance since the beginning of this war. Apparently a whole platoon got obliterated last days as they were trying to outflank AFU. There's termal footage of it.
I think russia has to start a second wave of mobilization or maybe general mobilization to make up for the losses starting next year.

Makes you question the whole narrative doesn't it? We've never been willing to commit our best equipment to Ukraine. It's been all surplus that has been in storage for longer than I've been alive, and now even that is running out. The choice now is to either give Ukraine our top tier equipment we need for our own use or leave them hanging and well....there's a reason they're desperate enough to fire missiles at poland.
