I'm looking into an investment account for my kid.
UTMA, Custodial 529 or Roth IRA seem like the most common ones but they're not all that great. It seems like it's just better for me to just invest the money myself.
THose with children or those who had one of those account as a kid, what do you all think?
Thanks

i have a custodial account with td ameritrade for each of the kids and automatically contrbute monthly. 529 only makes sense if you are sure your kids going to college and won't have another method of paying for school since they get hit with a penalty otherwise. I plan on paying for my kids to go so... stock brokerage account made much more sense.
