Despite having full cable, with the exception of sports I hardly ever watch anything on cable. Most of my viewing is done via YouTube that I cast to the big screen. I enjoy learning and viewing real life experiences so this makes YouTube perfect for me.

In recent threads others have also mentioned their interest in watching YouTube as well, I thought it would be great to share some interests that we enjoy. I have many channels that I subscribe to and will pop some in this thread occasionally and hopefully some of you YouTube enthusiasts can share some as well.

A couply of science/docu type channels like the one below - then several on specific interests like photography, mma, woodworking, political satire, track and field, and many with music.

Good history channel - this one was just uploaded today, about a 14th century battle and more in Gotland. I shared some pics from there and their history museum in the photo thread late august.

I can't believe I forgot this one: Tired Old Queen At The Movies. Steve Hayes is hilarious and does the best impersonations of old movie stars like Bette Davis. His whole channel is him giving reviews of old classic movies. I wish he'd write a book because he has all the best backstories. He really should host TCM.

I prefer self-propelled movement. Hike, paddle, ski, snowshoe, claw. Whatever moves me by my own steam. My notable Canadian expeditions include crossing 700km of my home island Newfoundland by snowshoe, boot & packraft and 1000km of Labrador & Northern Quebec by canoe. Both trips plus many more can be seen on the channel.

I fish, forage & hunt. This is camping, survival & bushcraft. Long challenging expeditions & also shorter relaxed tours. My dogs are usually along for the ride. And they carry their own weight.

My mission is to inspire others to utilize, appreciate and respect all nature offers. Maybe even light a fire in some bellies to step a little outside a comfort zone & dare to live a dream.

Honestly, I'm just a simple kinda guy who loves nature.

I think Allie Sherlock is my favorite young musician, if you can get past her Dad's annoying video titles and need to always take a video of the crowd. She was on "Ellen" and says Adele is her inspiration but last I knew Adele wanted nothing to do with her. That's fine since Adele is a heavy smoker and one day Allie will take her place.

I have been watching Allie for a while now. I find it amazing that with her net worth is said to be about (3 million bucks) that she is still busking and performing for the people on the street. I think that is just awesome. I hope she never stops.

There are a couple of others that perform with her occasionally that are pretty damn good as well. One young man and another young Lady in particular. I forget their names now.
