What do you think is the scariest PC game?

Doom 3 is an older game but falls in the the Survival Horror genre similar to resident evil.

I played Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 8 Village recently and both were scary.

I also heard people talk about a game called Alien Isolation that seems to just be nonstop tension where many said it was too emotionally exhausting to even finish due to the horror.

Alien Isolation is a good one. Really has those Alien (the original) vibes.

I might just look at a playthrough because right now I'm exhausted from horror games. After those 2 games, I'm now playing TLOU so that's literally 3 zombie games in a row.

I need to recharge because very soon we're gonna have Callisto, Dead Space and RE4 Remake within a 3 month span. Yikes.

Dude, the original release of Doom 3 was scary as phuck. The BFG update ruined the horror aspect.

TBH, as a kid/teen jump scares scared me more from games like Fear, Dead space, Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Outlast was kinda creepy but when it came out I was getting older and less impacted by that stuff.

I played Resident Evil: Village and thought it wasn't all that scary tbh, still a good game though.

I've got a ton of hours into Phasmophobia, just because I like the gameplay and social interactions. It does have its moments of being kinda creepy, but after you've put enough hours into it like me you just get all min/max efficient and systematic about it in a nerdy way.

Bruh. RE8 was terrifying and I'm not even a dude who gets spooked by horror movies. I loved it but goddamn was it emotionally taxing.

I can only speak from games I've played. So far, the scariest for me: Alien Isolation. The atmosphere, the sounds with headphones...all of it comes together to create one creepy ass game.

Started a YouTube playthrough of this. I'm too exhausted to play a new horror right now. Haven't reached an alien as yet but it's definitely setting the tone so far.

LOL 99% of the mentioned games in here aren't scary. Maybe a jump scare here and there. Resident Evil isn't scary.

If you want scary pick up Alien Isolation. The atmosphere and soundtrack is 10/10. Play it in VR to amp it up x5

When I get a small break here and there I watch a little part of alien Isolation playthrough and so far I don't really find it that scary.

RE 7 was really scary in the first sections for sure but as you said it dropped off for me. Village was great imo and I really liked the enemy variety and setting.
