The concept of hell AND heaven is pretty phucked up if you really stop and think about it. If you get into heaven, what if your mom or your best friend or your grandpa didn't? I think a lot of historical scientific minds leaned more towards non-religious practices than what we are lead to believe, but couldn't be vocal about their beliefs due to the times they lived in. Where being non-religious meant you were ostracized if not outright banished from your community.
