Holy lee sheet. I know it’s an automatic but the car is insane.

10 sec car trapping 130 ish plus it turns. Yes its insane, only richers will own one due to mark ups and drive it once a year and park it in their garage. Every owner of a dealership getting 1.. yes, ONE, will buy it for themselves.

Eh the corvette is basically asking for supercar prices now.
Clearly they don't plan on having ICE in the lineup after this gen.
A base c8 at $55k? fooking incredible.
The zo6, a 10 sec car that pulls 1.2 g on a skid pad is still incredible, but getting close to the competition in price if not actually matching some of the nice porsches.
A huge problem I have is that you can throw huge stick tires/forced induction on nearly anything and get crazy performance...but that's always been the case. The "cheapness" of past corvettes has made it worthwhile, however, to avoid the hassle.Boycott foodservice industry crew

Never thought I'd see the day Corvette's would be sought after. It's quite the car at MSRP. Just good luck getting one at that price. Too bad globalists want ICE to go away.
It's going to destroy the Nurburgring. Likely faster than the 911 GT3.★★★ A State of Trance Crew ★★★

Just peeked at prices for fun-- Priced a C8z the way I'd want for $138k.
458 best deal I saw was a 2014 white Italia for $245k with 7,000 miles. Casual 8 year old car at nearly double the cost of a new C8 with insanely high cost to keep running not to even mention insurance.
I'm somewhat excited to see how low exotic prices will go with credit crunch coming up. I've got the funds saved for a giant down payment on either a fun car or maybe enough to stretch for a 2nd mortgage on a fun resort town cabin with potential for rental income on weekends to pay the mortgage since I'd only go during the week anyway.Fitness connoisseur

Not really comparable to the 458 imo. 458 is down 100hp/100tq which is a pretty marginal difference even at these power levels. And it's not an LSx, it's flat plane crank, so it'll rev quickly similar to a Ferrari engine.
Z06 will also have data logging for the track. Honestly, if you don't plan to track it, you'll never find the true potential/enjoyment out of it. Yet the magnetic ride suspension is unmatched. You can easily daily it.Last edited by _zman; 10-22-2022 at 11:51 AM.

Performance Wise here are its competitors and their base model prices
Ferrari F8 Tributo: $302,500
Mclaren 720S: $319,100
Lamborghini Huracan: $333,633
Porsche 911 Turbo S (still the king of performance 2.1 0-60 and sub 10 1/4 for less than $250k is insane): $204,850
So at the end of the day you are still getting a bargain buying the Z06 w/Z07 package unless you were looking at Porsche. Plus, there is something to be said about being able to take your super car to the Chevy dealership for maintenance.
GM did state they would crack down on obscene dealer markups but we will see if that holds true.*Updated* If you can't hit a 320 yard drive, are you even a man?
