The vast majority of toilets in China are squat toilets (plumbed hole in the floor). And theres a trash can next to it. I have spent many years in China and flushed TP every time I pooped. But I also wasn’t living like the locals I was staying in the St Regis.

Most countries in Asia have a trash can by the toilet and ask you to put the TP there (I don’t). Thailand especially.
